I didn't think I'd ever really make anymore changes to the scale, but I kind of have...

For one thing, for some reason, I felt the need to separate the arbor and the garden... so now, the carriage house is scooted closer inward, there's a broad fence between it and 123, so now it's like the arbor is a "first courtyard", while the garden is now like a "second courtyard"... with some obvious overgrown foliage...

Lastly, I went ahead and revert the wall behind Big Bird's nest back to the old school era with the peeling numbers and alphabet murals and such... however, I kept the element of Finder's Keepers that made up the dead-end alley since 1998, but I have recolored it and turned it into a new establishment - an information center, which there's surely a lot of in NYC... and the propierter of this new establishment is gonna have a problem with Oscar parking his sloppy jalopy back there like he has been all these years.

You may disregard my previous post.

It just now occured to me that I've probably done more regular maintenance on the scale in the past five months than I've ever done when I've had to do any radical reconstruction due to moving damage.

Here's a look at some of the progress from the maintenance... practically the only thing that hasn't been replaced recently is the road.

Hey. Are you gonna put any of this up on your deviant art account? The effort that went into this is amazing, and I really think it should be shared with an audience outside of this forum as well.

I considered doing so, but I don't think I will or not... but since you mentioned it, I might...

Wow, you've done a really good job with the details. Especially with the subway near the Fix It Shop and Hooper's Store. And I liked Oscar's can and the stuff surrounding it.

It kind of reminds me of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood how Mr. Roger's friend Bob Trow made models of all the buildings in the Neighborhood of Make Believe.

Great job, Snowthy.

Okay, here are the pics of the scale dressed for fall...

Sorry, Photobucket shrunk the pics... they've screwed us in more ways than one now... if you upload JPGs, the pics won't be resized, but the quality will be distorted; but if you upload PNGs, the quality doesn't change, but the pics are resized... so they've got you screwed both ways. Oh well, at least you can see them right?

Anyshoe, I will be back in a couple of months or so for winter pics, AND for an article on the Mindset.

Wow. Sorry I never noticed this thread before Snowthers.

But the pictures I've been able to see are very great. You've put a lot of commitment into this model. Well done.
