Don's Museum Adventure...

I've been given the opportunity to put a few of my puppets up in a museum for a little while. Don'd be going (one of my characters), as would a few others. I'm actually pretty worried about this. I don't really want to do this, but, so far, my parents have only told me that it's a good thing. I'm having mixed emotions about it.

What do you guys think?

ultimately, it's your decision, but from what details you've stated (which aren't much) it sounds like a wonderful opportunity to get your puppets out there in the world.....what are your fears exactly?

Well, I'm probably being too paranoid, but, lots of things get stolen out of museums, and, a few of these guys are hard to make once, let alone having to remake them WITHOUT a reference to work by.

There are a few other personal reasons (having difficulties with certain people, etc.). I'm really undecided on the whole thing. It's probably really silly for me to worry, but, I don't know. I've also never really been a fan of the showiness of museums. I'm pretty private in many regards, and have never really liked showing off, although I've found myself doing it sometimes.

I suppose there's no harm in putting them in a museum for a little while...

well, most of the things that get stolen are big name expensive things (not saying anything bad about your puppets, they just haven't got their permanant place in the world, yet.

and for the difficulties with people, I dunno the exact situation, so that is your call.

Once again, it is all up to you, but if it was me, I think it was a good oportunity, since your puppets aren't a household name (yet!) but if the cons outweigh the pros, you should listen to your insides, and make the decision you think is right...

I understood. It's actually my posts that don't make sense.

No, the cons don't outweigh the pros. And, I relaize it's only the big name things that get stolen, which is why I said I was being too paranoid. I think I'll end up doing it eventually.

There is no set date that I can do this. Just something that's been talked about. So, yes, I have plenty of time to think about it. That could be good, that could be bad. Who knows.

This whole thread's gonna seem rather silly to me in the morning. I just know it. I'm so tired.

They have various doll collections and such from local collectors in there, I believe. I guess they thought it might be interesting to get some puppets in there.
