Do you know any SS cast/crew? Or ratings data?

Hello! My name is Hannah Miller.
I am a freelance journalist in San Francisco, working on a story about the cultural impact of Sesame Street.

I am trying to get in touch with people who used to work on the show. Right now I am hoping to interview/talk to people who worked on the show for a while - hopefully for several years. I want to talk to them about how the show has changed. This is for background only; I probably won’t quote them.

Where would be the best place to find ex-SS crew members/production people/writers? If you know anyone, that would be lovely. Or else just point me in the right direction.

Secondly, I am also trying to find ratings data for SS over the years. I want to know how many Americans have watched SS as a child, and how MUCH they watched it. Nielsen doesn't give out this data unless you pay, so I have to find it elsewhere.

That's it for now. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Hey, you're in luck. Carroll Spinney will be at the San Jose Children's Museum next Wednesday signing his book during the day.

Check the website for the San Jose Children's Museum. I think this will be a perfect opportunity to gain a wealth of information.

how about those that are still on the show? especially those starring on it? i don't have the link to the Sesame workshop but you can try typing that on the computer and try contacting them. also a couple of the cast members have their own site. http://www.bobmcgrath.com/ and http://www.soniamanzano.com/ who Maria on the show. i'm not a journaliast but i own a site about PBS and have tried to contact them to join my group including other fron other PBS shows unfortunatly no one has responded. if you've noticed the post i have about Holly Robinson Peete, she's the daughter of Matt Robsibson who, played gordon the 1st 3 years it was on. sadly he died 2 years ago abut she has her own site and maybe she wouldn't mind giving an interview about her dad. she herself was also on the show. well hope you succeed in your assignment. and if you grew up on the show yourself. enjoy the board.

I would try seeing if IMDB has some of the cast/crew's agent phone numbers, fax, etc. They probably would be more than welcomed to ask them to see if they'd like to share any information with you.
