Which shows that we shouldn't abandon our inner child, because seeing the world through the innocent eyes of a child (I say innocent in the terms of a child that's not been corrputed in some form), but yet, still knowing the difference between childhood & adulthood and straddling that fine line could quite possibly be one of the best ways to live life.
I haven't abandoned it ... I just appreciate technical aspects of shows more than I used to. I think Aladdin did a good job of dealing with Genie's shapeshifting (at one point, when he has to turn into a bee on Jasmine's balcony, the character just has a bee-on-a-stick puppet that he manipulates from a spot just below them... it was funny).

I thought Lion King (not a costumed "on ice" thing, but the actual play) was extremely well-done, both from a story-telling and a technical perspective.

I know I (personally and in my fics) can come off as a bit cynical and ... overly objective or something ... but I really do enjoy things.

Hey, nobody's perfect. In the world of the WWE, I have my favorites whom I'd like to see as champ, but I also realize that I am merely a fan among a sea of fans that watches a multi-billion dollar company put out a pro wrestling product.

I saw Disney On Ice for the first time ever 2 years ago, when the feature act was characters from Finding Nemo, and I must say i enjoyed it. I even bought a program and a poster which proudly hangs in my bedroom. Now that I have a daughter...I'll go see it again.

Might I suggest trying to go to one with multiple characters? It makes it more enjoyable (at least, for me personally).

Like, try going to one involving the Sensational Six, because stories with them involved often have multiple characters.
