All fine and dandy, but unfortuantly Series 3 hasn't hit around these parts yet. :frown:

Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with PVC minis, but these looked kinda strange to me. Some of them kind of look like they're made of play-doh or modeling clay (Gonzo, Snowths, Mahna Mahna) although the likenesses are good. Thog's coloring looks a little dark- could that just be the picture? And I agree with whoever said it, Sam's body looks like a honeycomb. I can't exactly put my finger on it, maybe it's just the texture of them that seems 'off' to me.

Oh, my God.

Those are amazing! I'll never look at Piggy the same way again.

Except, what is up with Sam? I have to agree on the Honeycomb statement.

Playdough? What? They are much higher quality than the average pvc.

I know what he means by the 'modelling clay' look - i just think it's a different type of plastic they use nowdays to make PVC's - it doesn't detract from it, i reckon it helps with more detailed scuplting and you can see for yourself the quality of paint apps on Gonzo.

Yeah and what is with the honeycomb ? I take it thats supposed to be a feather effect.

Keep in mind these are likely all still prototype PVC figures. Ken has mentioned that these won't be released until sometime this summer. Maybe in between waves 4-5 or around the time when series 5 arrives.

All I ask...remember that these are prototypes. Remember that the Lew prototype looked like AZZ. The final is becoming some people's favorite sculpt. We do a lot of refinement to any of these sculpts in production. Trust me...they will not have a playdough look in the final pieces.

I'll tell you all a very interesting story about that Sam texture later when I get home from work.

Gather 'round, children. Gather 'round. It's story time with Uncle Ken.

Hey remember that PBS show where they'd tell a story while a guy would draw illustrations at the same time? I do. I don't know why I brought it up.

PBS also had that show with the guy in the anatomy-colored leotard. I still have nightmares.
