This is by far my all-time favorite SS sketch! I found the video of it on YouTube, and I watch it all the time. It's the only scene from any Muppet project that makes me laugh every single time. So, does anyone else find this skit as funny and wonderful as I do?

As a kid I could never figure out why Ernie had his lambs kick Bert outside. It seems so random and out of character for him...

"Ernie.....Those sheep are tap-dancing!!" For some reason I find that line incredibly funny.

And they way he'll just look at the camera and mumble "I don't believe this!" Bert can make any line seem funny, LOL.

Ernie: "Got some partners I can count on called the Boogie-Woogie Sheep..."

Bert: "What?!"

Oh yeah! Everytime I see that song, I nearly die of laughter. (not litterally of course)

I agree with you! Bert had the best interjections (is that the right word?). In a recording that I have, Bert says ever so curiously, "Where did the sheep get tap shoes?" So funny!

The recording is not the same as the broadcast version. I like the broadcast verison the best. Bert in the CD or casstte verison doesn't have that much to say in it. That's what I like this one the best. :stick_out_tongue: :frown:
