Forgive me if this is out of line as I am new to this forum. I have read and learned a lot here. What I am looking for is 3 unique custom made puppets for an independant children's DVD project. I have talked to several companies and am trying to decide who to go with. It dawned on me that if most of the poeple posting in this forum are builders maybe, just maybe someone will have a few "one of a kind" puppets that are interesting, unique and cute enough for this project. In return I will pay a fair price as long as I can own the rights. Is this possible? If not who would you recommend?
Thanks

Howie

Custom Built Puppets

Hi. Most of us who frequent this section are puppet builders (me included). There are a bunch of very talented people here, so I'm sure you'll find someone who can help you. Here's where you can check out my work....

Did you ever know Bob Kimball, or his sister who's done work on both SpiderMan films? He's a pal of mine up here in Memphis...actually, he's moved now.

Howie,
Would like to discuss with you some more: email to MuleyTMule@aol.com or AIM MuleyTMule.
Thanks,
Kev

I'm developing a monster muppet for Sesame Street myself, well actually he already exists, only he's a "trunk puppet", a puppet one-time-only puppet with no specific character assigned to him.

Bob Kimball

:excited: Wow! I sure do know Bob Kimball. I hired him as a puppeteer for a TV series I created back in '95 (JELLY BEAN JUNGLE). And I just came back from Los Angeles afew days ago, where I stayed with his sister. What a coinky dink! He's a good guy, an excellent artist, and not a bad puppeteer. Talent runs in his family. Tell Bobby I said "Hi", and that I still have the giant photo of me and the JBJ puppets he colored so beautifully. Thanks. ...Pauly

Hello Howie! Welcome to the forum!

You can see examples of my work by visiting www.puppet-planet.com where the bulk of my puppets are all custom made and designed by the customer. I wouldn't have any problem with you owning the rights to a puppet that you create! =)

Hey there. I'm not lucky enough to talk to him since he's moved off, but my best friend still talks to him. I'm forwarding the information from this thread so maybe Bob can contact you directly! Hey, check it out: I've become Oprah Winfrey--but, skinnier!
