LOL!! That sounds hilarious!

I guess cause tonight I was at some friends' and we were watchin' SNL---it was a Justin Timberlake rerun---and there was a sketch where Justin was this, like, SUPERhyper omelet gettin' down wid' his bad-breakfast-self on a corner to promote the restaurant---and this SNL cast member dude was dressed up in a bacon 'n eggs suit---it was hySTERical!!

Really!

It was!

LOL! We turned SNL on just as that was playing, and I thought that was kinda funny after just posting about this commercial! So did ya see the *contraversial* Kermit sketch? We were watching "Crocodile Dundee in LA" last night on TBS, and that reminded me of how much I liked those Subaru Outback commercials. Paul Hogan rocks!

Oh, and another great Christmas commercial: I'm a fan of those cheese commercials anyway, but I think the best one is the Christmas one where the little girl gets up all excited and shows her parents what Santa brought, and it's like a toy store in her living room. Dad: "Whoa! Those musta been some cookies you left Santa!" Girl: "I didn't leave him cookies. I left him cheese." Announcer: "Ah, the power of cheese..."

The Nintendo one with Mario and Luigi as kids is cute.

I really love the Nintendo ads, myself... especially the one for Super Smash bros. where, to the tune of "happy together" they all beat each other up...

I thought the old Goldfish ads with the "Gone goldfishin'" jingle were cute, but these new ones just crack me up. The lyrics are really a hoot, like in the latest: "Goldfish smile because they have no clue that they'll be eaten."

The Snickers commercials that end with "Another unfortunate side effect of hunger" ALWAYS crack me up.

I remember there was a thread in Fun and Games that had us making up our own commercials and I posted something to the effect of:

*Kermit walks through the Muppet theater backstage*

KERMIT: Fozzie! Great joke there! Gonzo, that new act is pure brilliance! Scooter, don't go for coffee, you can take over the show!!!

*Kermit approaches Miss Piggy*

KERMIT: Hello there, georgous!

*Kermit begins kissing Miss Piggy*

ANNOUNCER: Impaired judgement. Not cool. Another side effect of hunger. Grab a Snickers. Pakced with peanuts, caramel, and chocolate. Snickers: Don't let hunger happen to you.

I hate christmas ads...

Not because I'm a Scrooge or anything...

I feel they are the epitome of Holiday greed.

Going back to Nintendo, I have seen this wonderful Wario commercial where it's in a mall before christmas and everyone is greedy and nasty. It's a great send up of these ads

(I especailly hate bthe Empire Carpet one where the Evil Stan Lee is dressed up as Santa Clause... YUCK!!!!)

I loved the Snickers commercial they had during the 2000 election, with the guy in the voting booth with the elephant on one shoulder and donkey on the other. It was hilarious!

Speaking of really bad commercials that crack you up, I love the Ask Jared commercials for Subway. But I hate all the other Jared commercials.
