As I've said before, the thing that I hate the most about political ads is that the candidates will tell you all the reasons not to vote for their rivals, yet they never tell you why you should vote for them instead. Honestly, every single political ad on TV right now is, "John Doe supports Obama, shame on him, and because of that, he's lost touch with the people, and only cares about carrying out Obama's agenda... we cannot have more people like that in the government... that's why you need to vote for me, because I'm not like John Doe, and this message has been paid for by my campaign."
That's why I hate elections. I never know who to vote for, because I have no idea what any of these people's platforms are, where they stand on certain issues, or what they plan to do to improve things in this state -- they all just basically say, "Don't vote for the other person, vote for me."
At this point, I feel I'd be more inclined to vote for someone simply for handing me a sucker.
I will say this though, this election season is the worst so far. I've never received so many political ads in the mail before in my life. Seriously, at least three or four from different candidates on a daily basis: both at my home address and in my post office box. Sheesh.
