The Great Snuffleupagus Derby:

I was expecting to see nine Snuffleupaguses, and be a 1-9 counting lesson. Though that might have made the sketch a bit boring (though the segment itself is a bit long), might have also been time consuming to make and change number things all those times on the same Snuffleupagus.

Big Bird falling asleep when Snuffy comes to get his juice feels a bit like the adults missing out on Snuffy, only it's Big Bird, the one who regularly sees Snuffy at this point, who misses him by falling asleep, though he does see some of the other Snuffleupaguses.
