I found a documentary from 1990 that I'm not sure whether I knew about it.

It's an episode of the series Learning Matters. Interestingly, there's a lot of first season focus, including a section on why Buddy and Jim, Professor Hastings, and Roosevelt Franklin were dropped. We already knew what happened to Hastings and Roosevelt, but this is the first time I heard an explanation for the absense of Buddy and Jim (though they don't acknowledge that they were replaced with similar duos for a few years).

Looking at the screenshots, there appear to be 2 segments that I've never seen...one appears to be a "People In Your Neighborhood" with Bob, and a scene with Barkley, Maria, Olivia, Gordon and I think Marv Albert
