How about Smokey Robinson's U Really Got a Hold on Me. That was one of my favorites and I haven't been able to find it yet.

It'll probably show up sooner or later at this rate. I am still kind of in shock here- I just recently came across The Geefle and the Gonk sketch!!!!! I remember seeing this as a child and haven't seen in like 20 years or so! Both these creatures are trying to get a nectarine and they have to cooperate to eat it. Look for it on youtube. It's incredible.

I saw that one today. And of course, since I remember that one I had to download it before it disappears.

OMG!! Yeeeeears ago, my sister and I were watching SS during summer vacation and our parents were sitting at the dining room table eating breakfast. That Dear Liza skit came on and they quickly told us to tape it, saying it was a real funny! We missed the beginning AND part of the end, but it's somewhere on a Beta tape!

On 1 of the guest appearance segments where the 3 ladies sing a song called Sunnyside of Life or whatever that song's called was indeed The Roches as one of the comment posters suggested.

Also I'm wondering why the Roosevelt Franklin skit of him singing about the days of the week, the CN skit with the princess changing him into a prince and the film of the Brother and Sister putting together the boy at the beach puzzle were in B&W? Oh I forgot to ask, anyone know the piece of music that was played in that film? I remember seeing a Monty Python skit that also had the same music to it.

seeing the SS reruns and even remembering the RF and puzzle film SS was always in color from the beginning. Anyone know the reason for this?

Anyway it's great to see more stuff there.

Pick Your Pet

I REALLY enjoyed the 'Pick Your Pet' gameshow skit! WOW! I haven't seen this in centuries! Always good to see Beautiful Day Monster, Betty Lou (or Lucy as she is called in this) cute as a button! I never knew Guy Smiley was first called Sonny Friendly, that was interesting. I think this may have been the first appearance of Little Bird and I recognize Baskerville The Hound from the old commercials. Keep 'em comin!

Requests For YouTube

The clips are super-awesome and are getting better by the minute (Whoever sent the purple singing turtles cartoon and "When I'm Calling U" thank you oh so much! I loved these in my childhood!) Here are some requests I have:

1. "The Letter N" by Nick Normal and the Nickmatics. One of my all-time faves! I know Nick Normal and the Nickmatics weren't a specific band parody, but I seem to vaguely recall the music was somewhat Clash-like. (Pleeeease send this one so I can relive the memories and possibly provide a better description of the music!)

2. The Bellhop Cartoons from the late '80s early '90s. I'd particularly like to see the one for # 8; it scared the crud out of me as a kid and I want to see how silly I was for being scared of it. If you don't have that, 2, 18, and 20 would be good substitutes (especially 20; the poor guy must have been in desperate need of a nap when he asked the grocer if he could have "twennn...tyy".)

3. "Wet Paint" and "Danger's No Stranger"; both by How Now Brown Cow and the Moo Wave. Both of these songs ROCKED! Respectively, these sounded like they could've been pastiches of Talking Heads and the more "rocking" Bryan Adams songs ("Cuts Like A Knife", "Run to You", "Summer of '69", etc.)

4. "Rebel L" by Billy Idle. I loved this one at least 5 years before I found out who the real Billy Idol (and "Rebel Yell") were. Now that I know both of them I'll probably be able to appreciate this one even more!

If any of you can put these on YouTube, thanks a bunch ! If not, there's still some great stuff on there already (but if you can please put these up!) Hope I'm not asking for too much :stick_out_tongue:
