Our family has decided to try something new this year, give up presents and spend Christmas at WDW. We know it's going to be VERY crowded, but we know to use Fast Pass and since we have been there before, we don't have to ride every ride. I was just wondering if anyone else here has been there at that time, or if someone who works at WDW can give me some nice tips! We'll be staying at Pop Century.

I went on-line and bought 10 pins for trading on E-Bay...they were less than $20! A lot better than $6.50 a pin (the usual price)

How fun Sarah!

We spent Christmas at Disneyland quite a few years ago. It actually wasn't that bad. It's not quite as crowded as you would think (at least it wasn't back then)

And the park is beautiful!!!!

Nate, did you go to Disney World or Disneyland? I'm sure the holidaze are great at both parkses.

Christmas at Disney is awesome! Over at EPCOT, they have the candlelight processional and all the countries tell a little bit about how they spend the holiday season- the decorations are really pretty. Magic Kingdom has Mickey's Merry Christmas party, really cute and a lot of fun! When I worked at the Disney-MGM Studios last year, we had the Osborne light display and fake falling snow on New York street in the evenings (hint- don't eat the snow!!). All the parks are decked out in decorations and have special things like hot chocolate stands and other fun holiday stuff. I have a ton and a half of tips for beating the crowds- email me if you want the tips that worked for me. You're going to have SO much fun and I'm way jealous!

Wow, you are so lucky, I wish I could spend Christmas at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, I would love to go there any time actually and I would love to come to the US. the Disney parks in the US are truly magical places and I can still remember how exciting it was when I went there in 1994, I'm Going to Go Back There Someday, I hope!
America must be the most exciting and fun country to live in, you guys are so lucky!

Paul   :excited:

There's a mini-theme park called Libertyland not even a mile from my apartment. Home of the Zippin Pippin, Elvis Presley's favorite roller-coaster (and it's more fun in the rain because it gets slick and goes REALLY fast)! It's one of America's oldest wooden rollercoasters--BUT! Can they really keep that claim when they keep replacing the wood?

Anyways, yeah, I think America is fun and exciting sometimes, but (like anywhere) we have the downsides, too. Like down in Mississippi where my grandfather lives, he can't build on his land without first having the city come out and approve his plans. That's right--even DOGHOUSES!! I suppose the Gestapo will come down and grab them up otherwise, huh?

I think it will be tremendous fun to see WDW at Christmas. I'd love to go there again.

That sounds like the happiest thing ever! Two of my most favorite things (the third being muppets of course) are Disney World and Christmastime!
