ok, it took me a while to see that those chains are on a drawbridge--they make it look like she's on a leash. "you'll never fly away now, mwahahaha!"

I think the reason it looks so odd is because of the lack of fur and also the fact that the snap-shot is probably not from the best angle. She looks mid sentence, therefore her head is in more of a closed, squashed shape.

I agree with her fur. It's just not enough of it on her plus she looks like she sick because of her spots all over her body. Poor Abby. :frown:

I think as far as fur is concerned, the other characters that have fur are generally really rather shaggy, whereas Abby's fur is considerably shorter, and neater.

Other than that, remember when Tyco came out with those SS beanies during the 90s?

SS Beanies have always been as ugly as sin. And that's pretty ugly...

I have a Big Bird doll thing creature hideous...Which looks like a cross between Big Bird, Baby Big Bird, and Generic Canary.

I don't know, those Gund plushies/beanies that came out for Season 35 were pretty nice; I've got a Grover one, and I like it... it even introduces one of the new Steve D'Monster videos which has yet to see the light of day on YouTube.

I also have an Abby plushie I bought around last Halloween or so, but this plushie depicts her relatively furless; again, I think for the most part, such merchandise and whatnot depicts her as furless to differeniate her from other furry characters, whose fur tends to be more shaggy-like, whereas Abby's is generally short and neat. I mean, if my Abby plush had the same kind of fur my old Elmo, Cookie Monster, Oscar and Telly knickerbockers have (I USED to have a Grover one when I was a baby, but I think I lost it, hence why I have a Grover from Gund), I'd find it a little odd, lol.

I never liked how Big Bird was depicted in any plush.... they always seem to give him a big ol' melon head, instead of a feathery bird head. I have the same problems with Cookie being a big blob of blue bubbles, instead of a big blob of fur. But that's neither here nor there....
