Is the character who plays Blind Pew in Muppet's treasure a charachter from earlier muppet stuff? If so, what's his original muppetname?

Blind Pew was a character created especially for MTI, because in the original Treasure Island book, there is a character named Blind Pew, and apparently the producers wanted to make their version of Treasure Island as accurate as possible. So, to answer your question, he wasn't in anything else prior to MTI.

Indeed, a great character. Sadly never seen before, nor after, Muppet Treasure Island. Jerry Nelson and Bill Barretta were fantastic together.

The character always reminded me of a mixture between Crazy Harry and Count Von Count with the evilness of Uncle Deadly. Funny enough, they were all Jerry Nelson characters also.
