Well, it was a frustrating road to get here, but my Beaker replica is done! His lab coat turned out to be a real pain, since I had never really attempted something like that, but I'm pleased with the results, overall.

Here's some pictures:

And also, Beaker...in 3D!

I'm super pleased with the results. Beaker is definitely my favorite replica I've made!

Holy cow, that's amazing! You can even get him to duck his head inside the collar! How do you work his mouth, BTW?

The mouth is actually pretty simple. For all basic purposes, it's just a regular puppet mouth plate, but vertical. The inside is made of foam so it can fit the shape of the tube and be somewhat flexible. The jaw is cut from the tube with a piece of fun foam (foamies-type foam) on top so it can give a little when I insert my thumb. And, of course, the whole thing is covered in felt, which acts as the hinge.

There's a strap inside to hold my hand in place, but it's barely needed, as the head sits nicely on my hand. The strap allows me to move the head a bit more actively without it flopping on my hand too much.

And I'm glad you like him!
