She is a major, major flake. Gwyneth Paltrow. Ack. She also enjoys running around London running her own nation down constantly. Ack.

Whatever said:
Except my first host family (with host sisters Sarah and Rebecca) kicked me out, so I got taken in by a second host family (with host sister Sarah).
What on earth did you do?

Can't let her out of the country for a second before she is causing international incidents.

I was too quiet. No kidding. That's the reason they gave. I could barely speak German then for Pete's sake!

A girl at work was contemplating the name Aspen for her baby, which I think is pretty (and reminds me of John Denver :flirt: ) but she decided against it because of the great potential for unflattering nicknames.

A sweet name, but yes, the potential for teasing is large.

(Haven't seen you around in a while, Erin--good to see you! Then again, my own participation around here has been spotty at best this semester, so I may just be missing the threads you're posting in)

I've heard of someone who named her daughter "Placenta". Eeewy.

I used to think my name (Ryan) was unique, especially in elementary school. However, where I now work we have another staff member named Ryan and at least six kids named Ryan.
Also, my last name is Bowser. It was cool at work last summer because one of the kids in my group was named Mario. Oddly enough I had to get him in trouble a few times so we sometimes had our own Bowser/Mario battles.

For a dog, I like the name Zandar. Especially for a small dog.

Aww, I thought that was a really sweet name. I think "Almond" would be a nice name too...

Recommended middle name: Joy

My husband and I like "Aster", which is a wildflower. It looks like tiny light purple daisies. But again, the As.... sound.

Don't want to really put a kid through that. Our last name is bad enough (sounds a lot like male anatomy)
