Thats great to have a date on this. But thats ages!! I know it will soon come round, I just want Kermit like yesterday. I love the internet and how great it is for info, but it also means you wait ages for products to be available. This thread started in Oct, so that will be 8 months waiting, from start to product being available!!

Can someone tell me when the NY Toyfair is taking place?? Bit in the dark with these Toyfairs, I sometimes attend ToyFairs here in UK but they are where you buy old collectible toys. I guess the USA Toyfair, is where Licensees show off there new and up coming products?? Is this open to all, or just people in the trade. Etc!

Are these Toyfairs in the UK? Are you Master Replicas ever at a UK Toyfair? Will Kermit be on display by a UK rep/distributer at any such event?
Great news that Cards Inc had info on Kermit!

Who is going to the USA Toyfair?? I want to see new pics of Kermit and the Mock Box.

Chris

June, nice. I can not wait until a final product is shown. That will be when I decide if i buy it or not. From the looks of it, I probably will be.

which brings up a good question...

When do we get to see some updated photos of Kermit?

Hey everyone; a few days ago I e-mailed Kevin (tioandria) this:
Hi Kevin!
I was interested in the Kermit project you are currently working on. This is not an e-mail slandering you about "cheapening" the Henson legacy, after reading your posts there I believe your intentions are pure. I am excited that Master Replicas is working on a project, but I have questions about the actual likeness. Forgive my opinion, but the image I've seen looks more like a doll then a replica, in other words, the likeness in my humble opinion isn't very close. I am willing to believe that a) the only image I've seen it from isn't the best angle: http://www.rebelscum.com/gallery/mr-pretoyfair-05/image1.asp And b) I understand that this is also the prototype. I searched MR's website to discover there's nothing there yet about the Muppets line and I was wondering when or where we might see more photos of this project? I am excited about it and I thank you just for your time in reading this e-mail. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you for your commitment and hard work in creating such a prominent icon!
And he was more then kind enough to e-mail me back:
Yeah that is a really bad angle, but I did not take care in posing it at
Pre-Toy Fair as much as I should have. The head is a bit overstuffed on the
prototypes. The head is directly off the original cut patterns and it is
very "moldable" as a photo puppet. You can almost bend it into any shape
you want. I am sure you will be able to get the look you want out of the
Kermit Replica. Kermit's likeness varies from show to show to movie but the
cut patterns have stayed pretty much the same. I am going to try an put
some more photos up on Muppet Central this weekend. I am pretty busy with
Toy Fair stuff so I might not get to it.

Regards,
Kevin
Thank you Kevin for your time in answering my e-mail!

Ok, I have a question,

Is this an actual puppet? I'm confused, I was under the impression that this was just a poseable "doll" if you will, but is it an actual puppet that you can manipulate with your hand?

Thanks for your time!

No it is not a puppet only a Puppet Poser. That means that you can only pose it with other characters like those pictures that you see on calender and internet pictures. Understand now?
