just have to say I am really looking forward to the muppets series 2 and at WDW they have something like those Disney minis.also Beaker the reason DIsney isnt marketing Spirited away is because it isnt a real disney movie and merchandise would sell terribly.also I love the idea of Kingdom Hearts but you cant say that they are combining Disney and Nightmare before X-mas as that is Disney.

>>>Beaker the reason DIsney isnt marketing Spirited away is because it isnt a real disney movie and merchandise would sell terribly<<<

The merchandise would only sell poorly if Disney continues to under promote it like they did Princess Mononoke(a great anime film which tanked because Disney didnt promote it that well, this time though the head of Pixar is behind the American PR)
It's funny, Spirited Away blows away anything Disney has done in recent memory traditional animation wise...so it is a bit ironic they have their big corporate mouse eared hands on it.

also I love the idea of Kingdom Hearts but you cant say that they are combining Disney and Nightmare before X-mas as that is Disney<<<

I seriously would not call Nightmare Before Xmas 'Disney'. Sure they released them. Just like I wouldnt call Roger Rabbit a 'Disney' film. With Roger Rabbit, it was Disney's touchtone...
but it was mostly Warner Bros. Looney tunes characters...yet all under Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment(such is why a huge confusing crossover hasnt been attempted since) Yes Nightmare is under Touchstone, and Disney hold the rights. But most people dont think 'Disney' when they think of TNBC. (The Sega, Applause, and other TNBC toys rocked compared to the lame Disney produced products) Though, if Disney ends up buying the Muppets out, I hope that Disney logo is well hidden.

ok actually I am sure Lilo and Stitch is 10 times better than spirited away and Monsters inc is better.and actually many people do think Disney for halloween and Christmas they do Haunted Mansion Holiday which was NBC theme at Disneyland and I hope Disney buys the mupepts and shows they own them, and many people do think Disney when they see Roger Rabbit since he has a ride at Disneyland and here are the Disney characters in Roger Rabbit:Mickey,Minnie,Goofy,Pluto,Donald,Daisy,Pinnochio,Dumbo, Fantasia Hippo,Fantasia Broom,Snow White,Penguins,Roger Rabbit,Jessica Rabbit, and Baby Herman, and the flowers and trees, and pooh and piglet,Tinker Bell

here are the Looney Tunes characters-Bugs Bunny,Daffy Duck,Road Runner,Yosemite Sam,Porky Pig

Yeah even thought Disney own'sthe nightmare before christmas rights, i guess, they really are not Disney Characters, But Roger Rabbit is a Disney Character, they have had a costume character of him in the Disney parades, the cartoon Bonkers is actualy like a spin off of roger rabbit with a toon(cop) and a cop working together.

Not relating to anything in particular, but I have a photo of myself and Roger sometime in the late eighties. He's the one in the silver lame suit!

a quick Link question for Ken

Ken,

Does Link look like the older (Seasons 2 & 3) or newer (Seasons 4 & 5) version?

Rather than answer, why not take a look for yourself? On tomorrow's Daily Bit there is a very nice sneak peek of the finished unpainted sculpt! Enjoy...

Re: a quick Link question for Ken

Interesting Daily Bit today showing Micronaut production. Question: Why the age grade disclaimer of "Serious Collectors Only 18 and Up" on that last figure? Is that a joke or is it really serious? What is it about this toy that makes it "not a toy"?

Because it is a reproduction of a thirty year old product that has small part and firing missiles that really aren't meant for kids according to today's standards. Therefore it is labeled as an adult collectible.

After looking at the Daily Bit and being fairly interested in the Micronaut process, I'm curious, Ken, if you will try to find the time to snag enough pictures of Muppets going through the stages to make a Daily Bit of that type (pieces > assembly > package) for Muppets Series 2?

Maybe...the heart of packout will take place while I am not here. Setup is going on right now and instruction on how they need to make it happen. The line will be going full strength after I am gone, but I can have the QC people take pics perhaps.

Ken, Link is looking GOOD! So good that I think I'll have some sausage links for breakfast just to commemorate him and his chin-butt-thing.
