I just wanted to make sure he'd see it. Got muppet labs this past weekend at TRU ($19.99). It rocks! The beaker figure is now the best out of all of them!

Got a look at the re-tooled sculpts. Scooter looks much better. Zoot from the side looks like a near-exact duplicate of the better versions of that puppet- btw, have the glasses been tinkered with at all? Getting used to Rowlf, still debating what it is about him that seems off... I'm thinking now it's the eyes, too big/extending too far down, but I'm accepting the look of the fig more and more each time I see it.

And I support the previously mentioned idea of Beau coming with him harmonica- that would be sweet!

I agree about Zoot he just looks soooooo much better even without the paint. From what Ken had posted i didn't think they were changing the look of it, but somethings definitely been adjusted to get it much better and not so sad. I'm most impressed though with the sax in the case - great looking, very detailed at such a small scale, and just the realism of being able to take his instrument out, put the pieces together and pose him with it really makes it kinda funky. I think the glasses are fine too.

My god, i'm being positive about the figures, my medication must be kicking in ......

Question

I finally have a question for Ken!

Is there something we can do about the twist ties? For the Muppet Labs playset, it was no problem, the ties were for the most part long enough to turn, but I nearly went nuts with the twist ties on the regular figs. They were just too short! Also, just when i thought I'd got them all undone, there'd be another. How necessary are they in the scheme of packaging? just askin'!

That is a good point. The twist ties gave me trouble too. They are necessary, but there does seem to be an excess of them. It makes you really work for it and heightens the anticipation! LOL!

as it turns out, they have to pass a certain amount of "drop testing" before they can leave asia. that's the reason toys HAVE twist ties...i agree the figs were a pain to get out, and hopefully they'll be longer in the future, but there's apparantly not much of a way around them...unless you want broken figs...

We have to have twist ties to pass testing, but you're right, they should be longer than they were in Series One. Let's hope the factory responds to the constant hounding about that for Series 2.
