Hmmm...if I were to ask to send you on a photo mission to get details like stage lighting, rigging and the like, how would you feel about that?

Ken

I would be fine with that. What I would need from you is a full list of everything you would like. I could probably have them to you by the end of next week.

Painted Band Set

Wow! I just saw a pic of the Electric Mayhem set painted-- it is amazing! I thought the sculpt looked good-- but with the paint it is really incredible.

Great work Ken!

Re: Koozebane

Ken,

Wondered if you had done any preliminary sketches or come up with any ideas for the Koozebane playset. Obviously part of this interest comes from the fact that I made you the reference tape. What do you think you'll use? The real classic Koozebane sketches are the mating ritual sketch, the song "Hugga Wugga" (which was never specifically identified as Koozebane, but if you ask Henson they'll probably tell you it is), the Koozebane Phoob sketch, and the Merdlelidop sketch with Dom DeLuise.

You had mentioned earlier wanting to have aliens popping out of the craters- on the show of course, those were Merdlelidops. Would they then be the ones popping out of the craters? They seem simple enough to re-create; they're pointy-headed red furballs with blue tubes for eyes.

Which other figures might you include, and how would they be done? You could, for example, station the male and female Koozebanians inside caves, or put little painted inserts of them inside the caves, though that would lessen the play value. Basically I'm asking if you would make the other aliens as pack-ins with the playset or whether, for cost purposes, they'd have to be relegated to being shrunken stationary figures or painted inside the caves. Perhaps one could come with Strangepork, the Phoob or the creature from "Hugga Wugga" (of course we have no idea what the latter looks like from the neck down). Someone else had suggested the Chopped Liver monster; this would work too.

Koozebane is for the most part a fairly flat set; there's not much height to it. Would the playset include a space sky?

One last unrelated question: is the Swinetrek model still in? And if so, will it come with Link or Strangepork? If you're stuck for accessories with Strangepork, why not move the model and perhaps a little backdrop for it over to Strangepork (like the Newsman's accessories)?

Thanks for reading.

No sketches. Only ideas. The current one has the Phloob and the male and female as separate pack-ins and then the Merdlelidops as part of the playset. Maybe the babies would be good too...

Yup.

Yes. But I would not make it just flat either. It could have lots of "play" or "pose" areas on it with teh right design. The sky could be a backdrop that is inserted in.

That depends. It is still in. If I can't come up with a cool robot or something for Strangepork then it will have to come with him. Because it is easier to think of stuff that fits Link's character than Strangepork's.
