Ones I'd like to see

Thog is tops for me, as you probably well know, followed by Wayne & Wanda, Mahna Mahna, Uncle Deadly (so cool-looking), Blue & Green Frackles, Nigel, Lips, and George. Might be nice to have Gorgon Heap (hehe) or Behemoth, one of the monsters that eats other characters, and make him (or them) hollow so they can actually fit other smaller figures inside of them. That's too much hoping there.

As to Mary Louise, I don't think this was the character's name (it was the name of another, ugly Muppet female initially voiced by Jim Henson). The character that Alex was referring to is the one with the long brown tresses and sort of almond-shaped pretty eyes. Very pretty-looking Muppet, usually in At the Dance. I'll list all the sketches I can think of featuring this character, and Alex you tell me if I've got the right character:

Joel Grey:
Wilkommen (sits with Dr. Teeth)

Ruth Buzzi:
At the Dance (dances with Boppity, three jokes)

Paul Williams:
At the Dance (dances with Animal)

Harvey Korman:
At the Dance (dances with balloon-headed man)

Peter Ustinov:
At the Dance (dances with Rowlf, gets punched by the punch bowl)

Sandy Duncan:
At the Dance (dances with Rowlf)

Avery Schreiber:
At the Dance (dances with Rowlf)

Vincent Price:
At the Dance (dances with vampire)

Twiggy:
At the Dance (dances with Sam the Eagle)

Ethel Merman:
There's No Business Like Show Business (one of the chorus girls)

Mummenschanz:
At the Dance (dances with Rowlf)

I know there must be more, but I can't recall specific At the Dance scenes right now.

As to her being a figure, won't happen. She doesn't even have a name, she's just Female Whatnot.

I think I know who you're talking about based on the description (is this her?) but I thought the name Mary Louise was designated for the girl Muppet who auditions for Kermit in the Steve Martin episode.

The first time she comes out, she's announced as "Mary Louise and Friend". She's yanked. She tries again as "Terry Louise and Friend" (this time, her frog is wearing a yellow kerchief to throw us off) and her final try finds her announced as "Kerry Louise and Friend" (this is clearly Mary again as there is once again no kerchief on the frog. you can't pull one past on me).

So what's the dilly? I always wondered what Sexy Muppet's name was

It looks like GorgonHeap posted just before I finished making my screenshots. Thanks for listing her skits. I didn't realize she was so often seen. I only have the Time-Life videos and only two of the eps you listed were released.

Seems she was popular with Rowlf, though :stick_out_tongue: I always thought he would do well with the ladies

So she's got no name, huh?

What's this ugly Mary Louise you speak of that Jim voiced?

Getting back on topic....

I'm surprised that not that many people have Mahna Mahna on their Want Lists. It seems to me that he's something of a staple background character even though he appeard so little. Even still, Angus McGonagle only appeared once and he was confirmed as a figure at one point, then stricken from the record. If Palisades is doing a Theatre playset with a Statler and Waldorf 2-pack, and these larger characters such as Sweetums with Robin and either a Thog or Doglion, then I don't see why a Mahna Mahna 3-pack with 2 Snowths couldn't be possible. Or maybe they could make Mahna Mahna as a standard release figure and a Snowth as an exclusive or something. Maybe even a variant sculpt Snowth down the line that you would have to mail order to get.

Am I going overboard? Nah, just exploring possibilities of how we can get Mahna Mahna. I think we all want him, it's just a question of where he ranks among our Want Lists.

Aside from us here at MC, I think Mahna Mahna would sell well with the general public and casual fan. After all, that sketch - as well as also being done on Ed Sullivan (which the general public won't remember anyway) and Sesame Street - is featured on a number of compilation videos that you can bet soccer moms across America bought to keep their kids occupied (not to mention it's rise to immortalization in the live performance last December at MuppetFest!).

Okay all that aside, wouldn't he and the Snowths just really look rockin' as figures?

Mahna2 aside, has Marvin Suggs been discussed as a possibility yet?

Or how about an assortment of singing vegetables? How can you not associate the Muppets with singing food?

What about The Flying Zucchini Brothers?

A Koozbane playset with Koozbanes?

Suggs, Veggies, Zucchini Bros. and Koozbanes all being recurring characters of course.

Yeah, I guess I knew about the Koozbane playset. Sweet! I didn't remember Suggs or Veggies being talked about though.

My main pitch in that post was mostly for Mahna Mahna.
My Friend, You have been away for too long !
Indeed, I had. Indeed, I had. :frown:

Scarecroe-

Argh! Sorry I forgot about Mahna Mahna. He's essential. A must.

Ken said Suggs will be in there eventually, or rather he said 100% chance. It was back on the old board, you can dig it up under Ask Ken at Palisades there.

I don't recall anyone mentioning the Flying Zucchini Brothers until you just did.

I can't load up your site. Is it down currently?

No problem. I am somewhat of a purist, but I want these characters no matter what scale they are - though fitting in the theater would be the best thing. LOL!

No offense guys. But it seems that we have enough figures for at least two years.

Am I the only one who is bored?

I know I know... I will go back to my corner now.
