Apple butter ever used in a preschool?

I was wondering, have any preschools had apple butter when providing food for the kids? Why have more of them used apple juice than apple butter?

Yes. The last daycare I worked at readily supplied it every morning. Very tasty!

Well, it sounds like apple butter has been used in a preschool.

Oh and to answer you question why apple juice is used more than apple butter, I would say it's probably a lot cheaper AND children are already accustomed to drinking it at home. Apple butter may not be something you find in everybody's fridge.

If they had apple butter, did they have peanut butter?

Ooh, no, we had chickpea butter! Seriously. There were a couple children with peanut allergies.

Apple butter? That sounds delicious; would you put it on toast or biscuits? Maybe popcorn?
This is why I don't cook folks.

Apple butter is like a jam. We actually made some ourselves in school when I was in first grade. I don't remember how, but it was delicious.

Where did they get the chickpea butter? Or was it homemade?
