If they're having that much red tape with the DVD rights (basically childishness and selfishness on both sides) I doubt we'd see it back on TV any time soon. Absolutely disappointing and pathetic garbage over character rights that they're not likely to clear up.

Well FINALLY TV Land's making a good move, from what I understand, later next month, Bewitched will be returning to their schedule; a show that has long been a favorite of mine.

You know... I wonder... are some of the shows no longer on the network because they're trying to drum up DVD sales of certain shows as well as trying to get the imaginary new audience?

Actually, a lot of it has to do with audience demographic.... a lot of these networks want to bring in the young crowd and automatically assume that the youngsters will automatically won't want to watch an older show simply because it IS "old".

That too, that too... but I'm starting to wonder if they're pressuring them to cut certain shows first to drive up DVD sales. Here's the logic behind my reasoning... the exact opposite happened to the 90's Saban produced Spider-Man series on Toon Disney. Since Disney owned the show (this is before they bought Marvel, but well after they bought Fox Family, which put them in control of Saban's shows). They adamantly refused to release the show on DVD, even though movies were coming out, so they would keep the ratings up. Marvel wasn't too happy about this, and there was a longstanding feud between the two until they were bought out.

Now, I'm sure the main reason why they have to shellac the old show reruns is to get the imaginary demographic (people who are happy watching everything else that they'll never get to watch them), and putting on dumb reality shows, out of place movies, and newer shows... but I'm starting to wonder about DVD sales as well...
