I've never been a fan of the live action shows on Nick or Disney... well, not all the live action shows on Nick, of course... the 80's Canadian ones were always fun, Double Dare was always great, and I do like Pete and Pete, All that, and by extension Kenan and Kel. And as far as Disney goes, that one with Shea La Beouf before he became a complete schmuck was pretty good. But I agree the quality of these new shows is low, due to the fact they have pretty much done it all. Thundermans proves the Superhero trope is played, especially the growingly unfunny parody Superhero trope. And I don't get the deal with "Dead Black Family with living White Family." I mean, somehow some comedian has to point out why is the BLACK family that has to be dead?
However, I can begrudge them on that, but the animated programming (for the most part) is quite outstanding. Disney hasn't had cartoons that good since Disney Afternoon. I caught some of the leaked preview of the 7D series? I didn't even expect it to be that great, even though I knew it was headed up by former Animaniacs writers. As for Nick, Sanjay and Craig has become one of my new favorites in a short time, and their version of TMNT is close tracked to becoming my favorite animated version of the characters. I guess you have to take the good with the bad. Heck, I give Disney and Nick credit for actually trying to move away from the phoney interactivity of shows like Mickey's Clubhouse and Dora. Even their preschool shows are getting good.
Just... do we really need a show called "I didn't Do it?" Seems like something that would be a parody of something... like it belongs in that episode of The Simpsons where Bart was Krusty's assistant, and he accidentally became a minor star with that exact phrase. To say the least of Dog with a Blog. Hey! It rhymes. The thing was made into a show because it rhymes!
