Oh, I love John! I agree he wasn't very dynamic, and I doubt he will make it to, say, the top 5, but I want him to stick around for a while. He's got a really pure voice, he just doesn't have a whole lot of presence.

I have a gut feeling that Amy Adams (pink-hair girl) is leaving tonight. I liked her okay, but I just get the feeling that she'll go. I liked most of the performances last night.

I bought "Solitaire" on iTunes, but haven't gotten a moment to listen to it yet--I'm looking forward to it. Also (and I haven't known if I should mention this, because I don't want to make some people very jealous, but what the heck), we're going to see Clay and Kelly in concert in Dallas on Friday. Woo-hoo!

:excited:

Ack! *keels over with jealousy* :stick_out_tongue:

My friend goes to school in Philly and they're gonna be there, and he can get tickets for like $20, but he's not going. They're not coming anywhere near here... :frown:

I hope Amy stays a little longer, but I do think hers was one of the weaker performances last night. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular. I want to see Camille or Leah go this week.

I am hoping Simon was right when he told Leah to pack her bags...I am afraid that Amy might get cut, tho, as much as I love her, her performance wasn't up to her usual flair.

Well, I'm not surprised it did turn out to be Leah, but I was surprised that Jennifer got the second-least votes. I thought she had a really good performance and has done consistently well.

I'm sorta glad to see Leah go. She always seemed stuck up to me for some reason. That Jennifer is a good singer, but she doesn't create much spark, you know? She's easy to forget.

Whoa--I got them on eBay as a Valentine's Day present, and they were a sight more expensive. The show was already sold-out, though, so it makes sense that I had to pay scalper prices and holiday prices. Anyway, we're really excited about it!

As for last night, I was also surprised about Jennifer being in the bottom three. I predicted Camille instead. I agree about Jennifer, though--a good voice, but she doesn't seem to stand out as well as some others.

Yes, I also predicted Camille, but then again everybody in Hawaii is probably pulling for her and Jasmine. I think Jennifer is good but not as good as Latoya and Fantasia, who she has sort of a similar style to. I think for sure she'll go before them - I wouldn't be surprised to see those two at the top, though I'm not super-crazy about Fantasia's voice.

I always thought Leah was stuck-up, too...and I was ticked that Paula chose her, and Lisa never got a wild card, when she majorly deserved it. I'm also glad Amy made it to the next round...it was kind of a shock that Jennifer was in the bottom 3, she can sing, but sometimes I think she sounds to gospel-y for my taste, and it seems like she tries a little too hard, and ends up sounding forced. I do like Latoya alot, and Fantasia is good, too, but her voice kind of grates on me sometimes...but she does have great stage presence and seems to have a very genuine personality.

Okay, so I haven't been on much in the last couple of days--driving back and forth from Oklahoma to Dallas to see Clay and Kelly! I don't usually write really long reviews, so I'll try to keep it down, but I'll give you guys a brief glimpse. First of all, it was awesome! Okay, that's basically it.

Okay, I'll say more. There was an opening act--these four sisters who sing together. They were pretty good. I think they were being sponsored by Radio Disney. Then Clay came out, and everyone went nuts. There were some seriously obsessive fans there--it was really neat. He sang most of the songs from his album, as well as other songs he just seems to like. He was charming, and was clearly having a lot of fun performing. At one point he had an extended conversation with someone on the other end of a cell-phone that an audience member was holding up. After his set, there was a brief intermission, and Kelly came out to sing. She also did most of the songs from her album (including one with a "special guest"), and a few other songs as well. At the end of the show Clay came back out and they sang a song together. I'm being vague on purpose, so as not to ruin anything for anyone else who might catch a show on this tour. All in all, though, we had a terrific time. They both sang and performed quite well--they've only gotten stronger since American Idol. If any of you have the chance to see them, I recommend it!
