I forget if I asked these two, but just in case...

1. Am I the only one who can't hold carbonated drinks? They make me sick to stomach what with all that bubbling and fizzing.
2. Am I the only one who (when it comes to TV shows) can't stand live audiences but enjoys laugh tracks?
I love pop! Mountain Dew all the way!
And I prefer laugh tracks.

2. Am I the only one who (when it comes to TV shows) can't stand live audiences but enjoys laugh tracks? Live audiences are alright, and I think laugh tracks are hilarious!

Live audiences are great when the comedian is genuinely funny and the comedy is great a,d anthenticly makes people laugh.

But The Muppet Show does that with a laugh track, though.

I don't like fake laugh tracks they annoy me. But I love the idea of shows being filmed in front of a live audience. It's weird on outside scenes on Will and Grace because there's no laugh tracks, so you kind of don't know whether you should be laughing or not :stick_out_tongue:

All I know is if you remove the laugh track from most shows...well...you probably won't hear yourself laughing!

The M*A*S*H DVDs have the option to view the episodes without the laugh tracks... and it's kind of creepy because when something funny happens there's now an awkward silence where you'd expect the thing to laugh really loud. Live audiences on the other hand, the actors ALWAYS do that pause and wait for the audience to settle down and quiet down before they continue the show.

Oh yeah, because if they didn't pause, the audience wouldn't hear the rest of the dialogue. In the movie Some Like it Hot, they had to reshoot a scene to include pauses, to give the audience time to laugh and then hear the next set up.

Of course, it can be awkward if they wait with the pause and no laughing comes! There's a blooper in the Golden Girls where that happens and the girls act all insulted (in a funny way), and THEN the audience laughed!

I haven't drank any for like a year. They really disgust me, though, so I don't drink them...

I don't really care either way...

A show like "How I Met Your Mother" is kind of weird, because they fils the show without an audience, and then play it in frnt of a reald audense later. So your hearing a recording of a live audience who was actually laughing at what youe actually whaching at that moment. I think that it works well.
