The wonderdud rapper didn't appear at the awards, nor was the song preformed.

It seemed bizarre that Babs presented the award to him as well.

She won a Golden Globe for Evita. But those aren't as hard. I think she could get one for Best Song, but her Bond themesong was passed over this year. Not the best, but better than that Frida song. It wasn't very interesting.

WTH???? That should have gotten more Boo's than Moore's Speach.

I mean, if it went to Chicago, I wouldn't mind, though the songs have been written years ago. I wanted it to go to U2 or Paul Simon..

but apparently, flavor of the month rapper deserves it more than a clasic Musical song, a brilliant musician who is active in helping the world, or an artist in his own right....

Actually, the songs in Chicago were ineligible, as they were written prior to the film for another project (the stage play). Kander and Ebb wrote a new song for the film though, just for the purpose of giving them a shot at an Oscar, but it was not to be.

I watched the awards with my mom, i never really watched the whole thing in years pasts but this time i did.

Mickey...i don't know, it was like funny-stupit, i liked it but yet it was dumb and cool at the same time. Jack Nicholson had the funnest face when Mickey asked him how to pernouce the name or something.

so how did that work for the people there? i mean what did they see? i would guess it was it on the large screen.

It was great to see the Kermit and Piggy clip! Miss Piggy also was seen in a clip before the awards started i think, I can't remember who she was with but she said somthing like " what am i not oscar materal?" and the guy said "Oscar Meyer maybe!"

Where were some of those short films played? i have only seen mikes new car, The Chubb Chubbs looks funny, but where would one have seen this if anyone knows?

My mother was very happy Brando won, i haven't even seen the movie so i wouldn't know anything, i haven't seen many movies latley, i just don't have the time now. you guys think M&M(joke spelling) should have won the best song or whatever?

oh and whatever his name Michael Moore? is that it? about the fictisus president and such, that was horriable, why make a jerk of yourself like that? wether he is for war or not, just to be booed on stage makes you look like a mook. I'd say worse, but this is muppet central but i don't say words like that anyways.

some people said a nice little short thing like god bless america, but to go on like he did is too much i think.

That guy was the legendary Johnny Carson. I posted about this at the begining of the thread Zack.

Many are available on the internet, can be see at film festivals, or in the case of "The Chubb Chubbs", could be viewed before MIB 2 on the DVD, or in the movies theaters (where I originally saw it)

Do you mean Adrien Brody? Brando wasn't up for an award, and hasn't been for many many many many years.

And I didn't think Eminem stood a chance of winning, but thats just my opinion.
