    Gobo's Mother?

    She probably is Gobo's mom!

    Is Fraggle Rock communist?

I've always loved Fraggle Rock, but recently it's become obvious to me that the show has a strongly communist message. Is this true? Was Jim Henson a communist or communist sympathizer? I'm not sure if I'm overreacting but I would feel guilty watching the show if it was pro-communist because I...

    Let's try this again...

I don’t go to a lot of other forums besides Muppet Central, but the main one is the Simpsons fan forum (nohomers.net). I’m actually a lot more active on there than I ever was here.?

    Happy new year

Happy New Year! My Muppet prediction for this year is that I will visit this forum very rarely if at all. Cheers!

    Fraggle Rock Action Figures!

Wow, all four of the new figures look great (especially Boober, my favorite character)! The Sprocket one is also very detailed, I might buy that one. I'm not crazy about the Marge Simpson "Mokey" figure, since Mokey from the new series was absolutely terrible (though I love the original Mokey)...

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

    Too much Elmo.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

I barely even know who Murray is. I'm not familiar with many of the newer Sesame Street stars aside from Abby.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

Absolutely nothing, but I didn't start the Beatles argument.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

I'm sure she was one of them... I just hate her because she broke up the Beatles.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

They still have millions of fans around the world. They are probably the most influential band in history. I know you're joking but dismissing them like that shows how little you care.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

Yoko Ono was a horrific-looking long-haired creature with a hideously repulsive voice who's singlehandedly responsible for the Beatles breaking up.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

Yeah, I should probably forget about Elmo since (luckily) I don't have any obsessive Elmo fanatic children.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

Okay then, watch ten episodes of modern Sesame Street all in a row, as a marathon. If you can make it through ten episodes, you should go fight in wars because you have insane endurance skills. If you can't make it, then you'll understand exactly why I hate Elmo.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

He is not real. He is a fictional character who ruined one of the greatest children's TV shows of all time, and who is widely considered obnoxious by at least half of the adults who watch Sesame Street. Among anyone older than ten, my opinion on Elmo is probably more common than yours. Telling a...

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

That's maybe taking things a little bit too far. Okay it definitely is. This is the worst thing either of us has said in the entire history of you and me fighting. You don't tell a person to burn in **** because they insulted Elmo. If you're practically an adult and still defending Elmo this...

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

...And nobody has heard of him anymore, which proves my point.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

Except for Elmo who will hopefully burn in ****.

The Problems with Modern Sesame Street

I mean in terms of the Muppet characters, not the human ones. Did they really need black and Asian puppets who are devoid of personality? Kids identify with the monsters and abstractly humanoid Muppets just fine.
