Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I just moved to Jasper Indiana (about an hour from Evansville) for a few months. I didn't realize there were any Muppet folks from any of the forums around the area.
They do Kevin. I thought you had been there. It's nothing amazing, but it's small and quant and cute. And you can take pictures inside. I took boatloads, but few turned out clearly. ;(
Was this a photograph display or a physical display with the felt Kermits?
I was just there in late August of last year, and the only physical Muppet there was a Kermit who was sitting on a log playing his banjo. It was a beautiful exhibit to say the least!!
If they have added more actual...
I bet you could remember lines if you rehearsed enough. That's my trick. Especially when it's 90 pages of script or so. The more you rehearse, the more you remember.
You have to be in LSOH someday, remember!
Well have faith. I'm sure it will eventually tour, and it will also be released so that regional and community theaters can produce the show. That will be a ways off though.
I'm sure we'll also see adaptations without the puppets as well.
Don't know if this was addressed in another thread or not (I didn't look), but actually Avenue Q won't be touring for quite awhile. They just signed an exclusive contract to only have the show playing in New York City and Vegas.
Actually Jimmy Durante can be done as he was in "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" with Milton Berle, who of course was in The Muppet Movie with Kermit the Frog. :)
Hey Kid,
Thought I'd pop in here to wish a happy birthday to one of my favorite friends. You've already gotten b-day wishes from me, but I'd thought I'd do it for you here too.
Happy Birthday you old man!
To quote Steel Magnolias, "I love ya more then my luggage"!
I took it that you were ticked there weren't more pictures/video time.
There is as much there for the Fraggle Rock float as there is for most of the floats. A couple of pictures and a short video.
I don't think we could ask for much more, except better picture quality :)
And this site...
Dude, enough with the negativity. How awsome is this site. It's campy and fun and not often you can see clips from the old parades online. I don't even have tapes of the parades from the early 80's.
That was great. What a blast to see the float again. And it didn't take that much...
James, I just don't understand your perspective on this.
We can't have our cake and eat it to on these things.
If they are going to be a stylized version, then how likely do you think it is for Sesame Workshop to okay an Orange Oscar the Grouch, when he only appeared briefly, and only in...
For anyone wondering, the plush that will be offered this year (last year it was Kermit) will be Barney. I was soooo hoping it would be grover, but alas it is not. :(
Actually Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis are both alums from SCTV (Second City TV). It was big during the 80's and was a rival for Saturday Night Live.
Second City of course is the famous improv troop/school that was started in Chicago and now has troops based in many cities, and touring troops...
