Mr. Johnson always complains about Grover's service...

One of the reasons I like the Grover Waiter sketches so much is because I like the way Grover usually deals with his customer-bright and cheerful, even when the situation is difficult. For about a year, I went to this pizza restaraunt near my house at least once a week. I tend to be...

    When you were little...

Y'know, it's funny...as much as I thought about the Muppets in my childhood, I really don't think I ever wondered why we never saw below their waists. Their upper halves seemed alive enough that I think we were intended to not care.

Episodes that Have Stuck with You

To me, the episode which sticks with me the most (which is now on YouTube) is the one where Bob's friend Bernie tunes Oscar's piano to sound awful, and Grungetta starts spending a lot of time with him, which makes Oscar jealous. So, he enlists Olivia to go out with Bernie to keep him away from...

Do you feel bad for liking Sesame Street?

I agree completely that there's no point in trying to convert people who don't/won't accept that you like the show. Either stop talking to them, or do the mature thing and learn to move on when you find someone who disagrees with you.

Do you feel bad for liking Sesame Street?

I don't buy the whole "you have to leave behind everything from your childhood as you grow up" mindset. Some things, yeah, you don't need to keep with you forever, but that isn't everything. If you still enjoy something, or get positive feelings out of a show from your childhood, I say there...

What was the last album you bought?

"The Essential Kenny Loggins" and Billy Joel's "The Stranger".

Who are your 3 favorite Sesame Street characters?

(I have to make this four, I simply cannot decide which three I prefer) Ernie-his sense of humor has always made me smile, and in some ways I guess he represents the kind of friend we all wish we had. Grover-he's very sweet and, this is going to sound weird, but he reminds me of my...

What year did you begin to loose interest in the show.

I've always watched it on and off, but in 1996-97, I would say I watched (and taped) it consistently. After that season, I kind of slowly lost track of the show, but now and then I still tune in to this day.

    Too old for Sesame Street

I, personally, feel that you only outgrow a show when it no longer has anything to offer you. Sesame Street, even in its current form, still offers me some laughs now and then, so I don't count it in the same camp as some other kids shows, which offer nothing to most people over the age of five...

Your 10 Favorite Sesame Street Songs

Hmm.....I can't put them in any kind of order either, I'm not even sure I could come up with just ten. But some of my favorites would be, in no particular order: 1-The song that Olivia and Bernie sing in show #2107 (I don't know the name of it) 2-Put Down the Duckie 3-Placido Flamingo's...

CNN.Com--Are "G" Rated Films Going Too Far?

Aren't kids allowed to experience the full spectrum of drama as well?

CNN.Com--Are "G" Rated Films Going Too Far?

I think the problem is people making little kids think (and know) that the adult jokes in animated films rated G *are* adult jokes, and therefore they are forbidden to repeat them in the schoolyard. If you ban something, you give it power, and it's that power that lures kids to make dirty jokes...

What was the last DVD you bought and why?

It was either Star Wars (the original) or Fellini-Satyricon. I bought both because they are favorites of mine.

    What are your stories?

I've been a poster here off and on since about 2003, I think-I don't post nearly as much as I used to, though I probably should, because the Muppets are often on my mind. I'm 20 years old, and I've been an admirer of the work of Jim Henson and his associates for as long as I can remember...

    Trading Sesame Street Episodes

I have no idea where my current trading list is (if it exists), but since there is really only one item left on my Sesame Street want list, I thought I'd just ask if anyone has that episode now. Does anybody have the episode from 1988 where Placido Flamingo was in love with Maria? Ever since I...

    Sesame/Muppet Discussions Outside of MC

The truth is, yes, I'd probably watch it anyway. However, that doesn't really answer my question. Your parents banning you from watching a show is different from someone merely expressing their opinion.

    Sesame/Muppet Discussions Outside of MC

I try to avoid discussing Sesame Street with people outside of this board, except maybe my parents, who still give me strange looks somewhat if they catch me in the act of watching the show, or hear me talk about it. At least they don't ban me from watching it (at my age, that's a little hard...
