I’m pretty impressed with the intro personally, I think this looks very promising. One could argue it might give off “Muppets from Space” vibes with giving Gonzo that backstory of being an alien from outer space (which I’m kind of mixed on now personally)…. But we’ll see what this has to offer.

Seeing the German dub of “NTV” for the first time….. this definitely kicks ***! 🤘😎🤘 Kinda makes me wish the English version did the same as this with having the Nickmatics and Nick’s father have their own singing bits instead of just having them lip-sync to his vocals.

I mean YouTube just gets more and more broken each passing year that I don’t even see new videos in my subscriptions till like 3 months later. 🤷‍♂️

Lips has always had the raw deal of just being known as “the extra band member who showed up at the last season of The Muppet Show.” Personally I think he’s pretty underrated.

Even with those quotes people are gonna have differing thoughts before and after the series comes out. Can’t change everyone’s opinions in the end.

Anyway this trailer looks REALLY promising! Definitely looking forward to checking it out in May!:sing::flirt::halo::cool:

I mean….. this is Disney we’re talking about. They bought the rights to both franchises knowing VERY well they’ll bring in the dough with the box office performances. Whatever (predictable) biased views they may have with the Muppets….. I mean that’s just how Disney is in a nutshell with their...

Yeah I'd say we'll get a full trailer within a week or two. So far this looks pretty promising none the less! 🍿

Pottle’s music estate never had any issues far as I know.

Sure.

The Monsterpiece Theater segment was cut from 1836 on HBO Max (as noted on Muppet wiki). The Fred cartoon was probably a case where it was either overlooked or probably kept in because the character comes and goes on the screen too quickly (so at that it’s easy to miss the eye), where as Mr...

That seems more likely actually.

I think you’re looking into too much info there. There really isn’t any evidence to indicate that the phrase alone would be a reason to remove that segment from HBO max releases. I don’t know if other segments surfaced in said releases, but my honest guess would be moreso the possibility the...

I feel like that episode was just naturally retired, nothing too specific with it.

There’s an easy solution to that. You can make an entire playlist of clips like that on YouTube.

Hey all, so while digging around in my VHS collection, I did find I still have one last VHS of Sesame Street episodes with episodes from (I think) seasons 36/37 that I plan to sell off. Please message me if interested. Thank you!

My only guess is the street scenes themselves probably still exist separately. The episode master itself (including segments) no longer exists.

No, that’s just an effect the user put on there in an editing software (whatever they used). VCR’s literally didn’t exist in 1969…..

Yeah, episode 12 isn’t even that special sounding to me other than it being the introduction for “Spinning Wheel.”

I see segments like that only being hyped up in a case of people just wanting to see what isn't available. Honestly, many segments that have eventually surfaced after being unavailable for the public for years haven't even been that exciting as people hyped them up to be.
