A one-time special as the Muppets are then placed into storage to collect dust while occasionally being used for ads as temporary filler production and then a new show concept will come about, released online, cancelled, rinse and repeat.

Oh wow, I honestly had no idea he was the one behind that weird CGI person taking a drink of coffee….. from their nose (Nick Brew) from that early 90s Nickelodeon bumper. Though honestly since finding out he also made that ICE animation film for “Sesame Street,” that also makes sense. I found...

Seeing Jimmy Kimmel’s show officially canceled. The guy was never funny and while I’m not a Charlie Kirk fan, I have zero sympathy.

I understand it was a corporate business decision, but honestly, replacing the food court fountain machine from Pepsi products to Coke products at Costco was a MASSIVE downgrade. I love sprite. That being said, it doesn’t pair nicely as a drink with their pizza and chicken bakes. That lemon...

Disney is just nothing more than a shell of its former self at this point, but I feel like that’s just the equivalent of saying water is wet. Far as I’m concerned though, their true colors only really began to show by the 2010s and just gradually got worse.

Right, I know it was before they acquired the Muppets, I had forgotten it aired on NBC and thought it was on ABC and figured it was during a pre-acquisition period of rights negotiations. Regardless, I don’t know what direction went with Kermit in that movie but I feel like Disney just copied...

Something I have kind of noticed with Matt’s Kermit, it seems more like he tries to focus on his voice rather than his personality. Whereas with Steve, he definitely focused on his Kermit voice but didn’t otherwise make it the main focus and still captures his personality down perfectly. Maybe...

Woke up in a really horrible mood this morning. This song is easily one of my favorite Chris Cerf songs to sing along and listen to, and it’s easily a big dopamine release especially with the nostalgia of seeing this on the “Rock & Roll!” VHS. “Right, ducky!”

I mean from what I can gather, it was his choice to step away from Muppet projects because he didn’t want to just be known as a guy who does Muppet stuff for a living. In the end it was sad to see him go but I find all his successors (especially Eric Jacobson) have done a great job with his...

“Muppets Tonight” and “The Muppets” I really think had more potential to shine a couple more seasons - they just unfortunately REALLY got the short end of the stick with low ratings. Anything afterwards is just Disney being a bunch of cheapskates.

Sure, I’m always up for new Muppet content like any fan out there. What’s just infuriating is this annoying routine of a new series coming out, it’s lucky to have a full season…… and bam. Cancelled. Then there’s nothing but filler ads and an occasional special here and there till the next idea...

Well then that’s their problem if they want to feel that way about Kermit’s current performer. In the end, Matt is at most tolerable for me.

Matt’s performances as Kermit alone wouldn’t be a justifiable reason to end a series unless Disney was THIS extremely petty and looked for some lame excuse to can their next series early (which knowing them, I wouldn’t put it past them).

Like it’s even gonna go anywhere. It will only get one season if it’s lucky to get past the pilot and fail. I’m sorry but after 2015, it’s like Disney doesn’t even try anymore with these franchise of characters.

They’re clearly not gonna put up every single episode publicly on their YouTube channel or have them distributed on Netflix. I don’t know what’s going on with the AAPB library but I really think this new deal has nothing to do with it. If that were the case, the library would be gone after the...

Ah, right, yes. Anything post season 23 can’t be declared as “classic.” I forgot.

See this is honestly a case I feel like you’ll just be unhappy no matter what’s put out by them. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think “Shining Time Station” would have been a first-thought for putting out at all given how Thomas was just often seen as a series of videos that comes out in stores by the early 00s before episodes actually started airing on TV again as its own series on PBS. If all of 1-5 were to...

Not that it matters to me anyway cause there are numerous fan uploads online and my own personal VHS collection, but only airing the HiT era as far as the model stuff goes? What a rip-off.

I’m getting “average Redditor” vibes from some of these posts…..
