Jamie, Thats cool - i totally get where you are coming from. In my view (and it's only my view) Palisades should give us exaclty the same information that other toy companies give their customers. If they can get a date and be sure of it - fine - but theres no use giving out incorrect...

Hi Ken I'm not gonna give you a sickly sweet and sucky reply (thats just hypocritical) but i will say that Danny was just joking over at Toughpigs - the news there is written in a witty way that just blatently tells the honest truth - most Henson productions have also been subjected to the...

<He's staying on as a producer on Farscape and is developing work for Henson pictures.> Yeah Daniel - but if you read in between the lines, he is going from 100% work at the Henson Company to around 5%. 'Developing' means somewhere between pitching and pre-production - not exactly duties of...

Brian Henson Leaving To Toss Penguins ! (There ya go Emmy) Theres another version of this press release that also mentions that there has only been one bid for the Henson company and that has come from Rivkin (and a mystery backer) and the price may come down to 150 million. The full thing...

Yeah it's also very vague as to whether he will stay with the Henson company in any capacity for the long run - obviously you don't have to be with them to direct TV and Movies. Although i don't believe in penguins being thrown gratuitously for the purpose of company resignations - it was a...

Welcome back to the nut house Josh !!!!! Luke PS :- you'll be right at home here ! ;-)

It confused the heck outa me for a bit. The timing meant it has been on for a few days rather than just memorial, so even though i knew about that it still didn't occur to me that this banner was specifically for that. I too thought it was something to do with Sept 11th. It's a nice...

wow - you were really going out on a hoof there weren't you Cormeister ? ;-)

Jamie I like Rivkin as a person, but i don't feel like he has the backing, either financially or in the industry to make a success of the Henson company beyond what it is now. To go beyond this level, JHC needs a parent who can give them facilities, promotion, money etc etc and make them a...

If ONLY Britney would learn from her peers ! *Sigh*

Hi Kev, Michael posted over on Toughpigs.com (this is from memory) that he had heard from Henson that Muppetfest 2 IS definitely being organised for the East coast, and an announcement will be made very soon. Oh and that it is looking very much like an October date. I've heard that they...

It depends ! If it is Kirch, and they are insolvent - i'm not sure if they can sell on the rights to a new owner or whether they would revert back to Henson if the company went bust. In whatever case, until those rights come back under Henson control then any new parent company would have to...

<< She arrived on stage in a gorilla suit and stripped it off to reveal an audacious silvery dress. >> Now thats my kind of concert !

This one was to do with distributing Fraggle Rock and The Muppet Show to German language countries. EMTV bought the shows when they bought the Henson company, but the Henson company had already licensed the German rights to Kirch (i think)up until 2050 and recieved the money. So basically...

EMTV were already a partner of the Henson Companies - they bought a lot of the shows for German distribution.

Very strong possibilty - jeez what is it with you ? Are you with the press ? ;-)

Could this be a breakthrough in the new Michael Jackson action figure line ? :-)

Who knows whether they wanted to sell out - depends what state the company was in financially i guess. Personally, i think i would have taken that money too - it's far more than the company was actually worth. Henson's were probably laughing before the share price dropped .... then the mass...

<<he DID say that whoever ends up with the JHC would be a company that allowed them the most freedom to do what they wanted to do>> I think he was meaning (in a jokey way) that HE would be the person who ended up with JHC. Looks like there's very little chance of that now though - and he'll...

Theres a thread on this somewhere and we are gonna try arrange something with Palisades to increase the amount of figures a couple of people can pick up for MC people. Two Beakers is probably pushing it a bit though.
