Yup he sounds kinda dopey and that is the character but it's easier to achieve a dopier voice using a regional accent because they speak slower than we (Londoners) do. Maybe you guys could understand it in the states but typically in TV when a UK show is aired in the states they always prefer...

Whats your source for that ? The local PR affiliate person ? I'm just curious because i work in TV production and have spoken with two NBC development producers and a programming executive over the last couple of days for something completely different. I just didn't get this downer reaction...

Erm Cory - Moppatop DOES NOT speak in signature English which you would typically class as a Central London one (not East London - a cockney). Moppatop speaks in a Birmingham accent which is very different and regional so would be harder to understand. There's not a massive difference between...

Yup PAL is a far superior format to NTSC. It has much better definition and frame speed.

I hate to burst the bubble Cor and the mass enthusiasm is duly noted but i don't think 'Todd' are going to be taking that much notice of the fan input. They work to a brief and have no real background with the Muppets - they are basically there to work the project into a cool up-to-date style...

From what i hear i think maybe they should have maybe moved a little (and i mean tiny) bit slower down the road for NBC - just a taster of edgy so they could gauge reaction and then developed it more for Fox but overall i think the faster pace and edginess is a good thing - it definitely opens...

You have to weigh in the idea that they used the film as a promotional tool for themselves - thats kinda an excuse in 'TV Land' to throw some unrecoupable money at it when you aren't sure if it'll do that well ratings and advertiser wise but need a high profile project for a seasonal night...

Your friend is kinda right about the methods but it didn't underperform - it was bang on the level. NBC wouldn't have promised any more than 10/12 million viewers for this as they simply had no yardstick to measure the Muppets by. They probably will end up losing some money on it but then...

and there's also a few more showing of the new movie that haven't been mentioned - they are on Sky Premier 2,3 etc a few days after the first showings.
