Why was Bedtime Stories and Songs edited?

Well that certainly didn’t stop his segments continuing to syndicate (albeit rather spread out far between) till season 29 and his segments getting future releases since.

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

To be fair, Elmo didn’t exactly just change overnight. Kevin still gave him the “yes, yes, yes!” schtick for awhile. Grover is also kind of debatable cause he was kind of a prick in the first season (and at times early in season 2).

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

Right….. but any episode with orange Oscar or green Grover is fine. 🙃 #Doublestandards

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

I, for one, think it was presented well in a neutral point of view. And frustrated as I was seeing so many of the 70s-90s era stuff get taken down, Joe made a good point in the article - we aren’t entitled to these episodes. That said, for me personally, I was more frustrated with the fact that...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I mean truthfully if I were alive in the early 70s…. MAYBE I would have liked season 1. The inserts for the most part are fine, but I find the street scenes just….. really drag. And yeah, there’s the repetition as well. You could easily just have the cast members stand in the middle of the...

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

Viacom pulling Sesame Street off Noggin isn’t something they did out of spite. That’s something you’re personally choosing to believe.

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

I get the feeling of being bummed with not being able to watch something on TV anymore, I was that way when reruns of Mystery Science Theater 3000 were officially removed from the Sci-fi channel in January 2004 when I was 11 years old…. But the fact that I had a huge collection of tapes...

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

You do realize you could have easily just taped each episode airing if you were that worried about cancellation.

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

I understand not everyone will be pleased with episode additions and that’s fine, we’re all human like that, but the workshop shouldn’t have to exclusively add whichever time periods of episodes you prefer to their library just because you personally want it to be that way. I for one am always...

HBO Max removes nearly 200 Sesame Street episodes, modern specials, and the Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

This is a huge smack in the face for me. I was incredibly stressed out at the time with moving and the pandemic (and the riots at that) and this was a huge reward for me that really helped a lot. Thanks for nothing, Warner!

2001 People in Your Neighborhood See n Say

I mean there’s no way of knowing unless someone physically owned the toy or if it was uploaded on YouTube.

    Sesame Place racism scandal

I’m pretty sure Rosita will be kept regardless. The person in the costume was probably fired (I at least hope).

"Sesame Street Classics" HBO Max Rollouts

I see the Batgirl movie being cancelled as an instance of unfair biases in the entertainment industry.

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

The pre-cursor Monotones played a factor, but I honestly just love the original song so much and I was surprised one of their more underrated songs got a cover (with a much catchier melody at that).

Ruth Buzzi suffered many strokes recently

At this point I don’t think she has much time left in all honesty.

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

On the subject of “The Word” however, that one honestly has to be my favorite Beatles cover next to Yellow Submarine. I love that funky disco melody it has to it.
