Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 37

Loved today's new episode.... First off, lemme say I kinda think it IS funny that Scramalot is a parody of Spamalot... it's a parody of a parody. Actually, more like a parody of a musical remake of a movie that's a parody of historic legends and a parody of a musical based on said legends...

    (New) French Muppet Show

Exactly. It wouldn't make sense to film them just to dub them, or to make them all speak parrot French (Like Monty Python did with the first Co-produced German TV version....cept in German). My only problem IS they don't have one in the US. But I guess that's Disney and the devil...

What's happening to Dr. Teeth and company?

Think about it. JIm and Richard are dead... leaves Dr.Teeth and Janice off.... Jerry doesn't do much TMS stuff anymore :sing: gone They have yet to find perminant recasts. We have Eric Jacobson as :halo: and Dave Golez is still with  Considering the last Muppet...

Casting for "A Sesame Street Christmas Carol" DVD

I agree and disagree. The book was written about what happened to England in that economy...BUT... it also shows money isn't everything and one should help their fellow man. I just happen to find that funny, since few of these retellings adress it. I like most of them, but some are pointless...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 37

There's refferencing and then there's performing the entire song word for word. One is free to the public, one you have to pay for. It's like if they reference another show. They can't show it without paying, but mentioning isn't a problem.

    Grey Delisle

Nothing official, but I heard she's tied to the new TMNT movie somehow.

    What became of syndication?

That's night time stuff... 5-8 pm... I'm talking about the daytime. I also forgot to mention the innumerable infomercials.

    Which Company Mascot Scares You

Not a real company, but the Mr. Sparkle logo from the Simpsons used to give me the willies. I want the T-shirt now!

What was the last DVD you bought and why?

Yeah, but I think he worked more on the other ALF cartoon. I wish I coulda got that one instead, but I was in New Hampshire at the time (I'm from MA) and saw it at a local chain for 10 bucks, no tax. It's 15 bucks around here at Newburry Comics.

Old School Sesame coming to DVD October 2006

That is my question as well. I'd love to see EITHER, but whatever. This is still amazing to have as a box set. I had a feeling that we'd get something like that, a few eps, a few skits. I'm guessing, like my idea, it's the defining episodes of each year. Now, I don't think Kermit will be too...

    Abandoned Animals on Sesame Street

Oddly, Barkley does appear occasionally in newer kids books. Plus, I SWEAR I saw him last year during Elmo's trike song. Also, did you notice that certain anything animal puppets (chickens, pnguins, etc.) started looking less and less like their TMS counterparts after the EMTV deal?

    What happened to Shurlock Hemlock?

There is another reason: The writers or the performers of any given old character got tired of performing and or writing for the character. There is just so much matereal you can write for some before they get to be routine. Certain characters on the show nowadays have the same problem with...

?'s about Do De Rubba Duck.

He could have worked. Going back to my previous statement, he probalby was written a stanza, but they cut it out before the final product. Gladys was in there so they could make a "Mooooove" pun.

    8 Simple Rules

I try very hard not to come into a discussion of a show I hate and burst someone's bubble unless I feel it is necisarry. This is one of those times. John Ritter dying on the set of this show is almost as embarassing a way to go as Elvis dying on the toilet. The series was routine...

Horton Hears a Who: The Movie (2007)

As long as it's not as gaudy and off as the other one, it'll be okay. I just really think that Dr. Seuss animated specials were the best projects aside from the books. But, honestly... there's a reason J.D> Sallengier (sp?) didn't want anyone to make a movie out of his book.

    What became of syndication?

Remember the glory days of syndication? When cartoon shows and old sitcom reruns abounded? Well, look at the situation of TV now... corrupted by countless annoying "Judge fill in the blank" shows. On the air currently Judge Joe Brown Judge Mathis Christina's Court Judge Hatchett...

ANOTHER Muppet reference on Family Guy

Meh... I feel the show is great BECAUSE it's offensive. It still has an edge, and it didn't sag into the mainstream kiddy entertainment that the Simpsons fell into 7 years back. The Finding Nemo joke was funny... but the rest was just dull. ANyway, the truth is, what comes out of offensive...

    My Thoughts: Disney's Muppets

Mmmmm/.... well, I do agree it's a shame to see these wi'out special features, but then again, DVD's cost less to produce than VHS... much like how Cd-rom based games are cheaper to produce than cartidge games.... which is what cause N64 to collapse. HOWEVER, I feel it's nice we have them AT...

    Grey Delisle

The funny thing is that Grey's Yumi and Kimiko sound the same. They're both Japanese girls from Japan (as opposed to AMerican born immagrants' daughters) and they talk with Californian valley girl accents.

    Remembering 9/11

I can vividly remember that I didn't even know about it, or feel the effects of it emotionally (in my case, fear) until WAAAAAAY after. I can tell you all I know is I was in class at art school, and it was cancelled for no given reason. I go to somewhere else for a bit, and I go to a KB toys...
