What bothers me about Disney's ownership

Actually... I MEANT merchandising. Merchandising would lead to a DVD release of some sort. The reason Disney didn't make any of those into shows is that no one will watch them. They tried to make Mickey Babies a cartoon a while back, but they never (thankfully) sold it. Baby Pooh is the most...

    Kermit on Martha

Kinda an old thread, but I must say, this was one of the better Kermit appearances I've seen in a while. The Turquoise bit I guess was an impromptu gag. Still... it's great to see the Muppets can at least do talk show spots SOMEWHERE. Wayne Brady is gone, even Tony Danza's abortion is...

    Cookie on Martha

I love how SA is doing damage control for that stupid media sensationalism. I was a little worried at the beginning when he was acting uberhyper and such, worried the live performance wouldn't be too good, but it was great. I like how Martha plugged the new disk set and cookie replies "Well...

SS special on PBS (Oct. 24th, 9:00-10:30 PM)

I want to see this very very much. Something tells me, however, that I'm either going to be wowed with a newfound respect for humanity, or deeply depressed that the good intentions of SW and peace loving people gets bogged down with the mindless hatred and stupidity of the masses brought on by...

NEW Oscar T-shirt for Men @ WALMART

I never really frequent Sprawl MArt... not for political reasons, mind you... just I can't get to any of them around me... they're all out on the highway. They did have some nice Oscar T's at Kohls a couple months back. Didn't see any in my size, so I got Underdog.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Old School DVD

Know what's funny? I was just at Target and they didn't have said box set... oddly enough they had "World according to Sesame" and it was in the (preschool) children's DVD endcap... and it says "Not suitable for 13 and up." Newburry Comics in Boston has it for 31.99, BTW... I was just there...

Iron Man Movie Coming In 2008!!

I dunno... other than Spiderman, Marvel has been batting zero with the X-men films (which didn't impress me at all), the Hulk, or Fantastic Four...etc... But it would explain the newfound interrest in Iron Man stuff in the main stream. Not for collectors, kid's stuff, mind you.

    Sailor Moon manga or anime

I still wonder about the American Live action thing... anyone got any info on that? BTW... don't bother searching for Stars on Youtube. No thanks to Google, they pulled all Anime clips due to pressure from Japanese businesses. Easy for them to say. They HAVE that stuff over there...

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

How long, d'ya think it's gonna take google to tear down all the SS clips due to not wanting to pay royalties (ala several Japanese companies)? I swear, rare clips are the only reason I visit that site, not because some obese 50 year old woman in Minnesota (apologies in advance to Minnesotans)...

Tickle Me Elmo 10th Anniversary Edition

On the bright side of things, if the toys continue to sell that good, maybe SW will have more money to make more stuff, and not repeat the same crap from the previous seasons that they repeat over and over in anticipation for a new season. Theoretically, more money= More material.

Muppets that can scrunch there face

It's funny. Half the jokes on First season of TMS are all Face Scrunching gags. Even one of the promos on the DVD gag reel is just  and :boo: scrunching their faces. I've noticed Elmo can scrunch his head to look confused. I really like that.

    Who finds this annoying...

I liked the one with the angry African American guy. >>Commercials are just plain annoying to me these days. Everones either an idiot, a jerk, sarcastic, cynical, "Xtream", overly conchious about beinng annoying, a gimmic, of propaganda, or is just plain old carzy and just need's to chill...

Why does my daughter love bert more than ernie?

I have to say, I favor Bert to Ernie, but love both of them. I tend to find Ernie loses a lot of his character's humor without BErt (or at least someone to annoy). There was a great Ernie and Grover opposites song they made recently (after Steve took on the role at least), that was just as...

    Sketches That Bugs You Alot

I have always hated long films about talking to kids or watching flowers grow to boring classical music. And that crap with the poorly drawn animals "dancing" series. That gets more annoying with each passing year. And they keep making more of them.

Sesame Old School Vol. 1: Why only 5 episodes?

Exactly... they is basically the best thing they can do. I wanted to write to SW and request a best episode of X-year collectors set (s) featuring one landmark episode a year of each of the 35 years as a 35th anniverary set. Plus, you can fit 3 hrs. on a disk single layer... most you can...

What bothers me about Disney's ownership

Have you noticed that Disney owns Muppet Babies, but trots out stuff like Baby Pooh, Baby Mickey, and Baby Princess? I mean, they can't find any place for the original, but they have enough room for the cheap knockoffs?

The "Next Muppet on Family Guy" thread

A Terrorist detainie joke would work better... pretty obvious, though.

Muppet SNL Land of Gorch Skits coming to DVD

You know, that would be great. I hated the bitter disdane the SNL cast had for the Muppets (outside of GIlda Radner, who appeared on TMS), and it seems they tried very hard to hide them from all retrospectives and stuff. They made a frikkin' Goat Boy action figure for cryin' out loud. Though...

    What I think happened...

First off, I'd like to say Pixar's best films were monsters Inc and the Incredibles. They both showed (Incredibles more than the others) you can make a CGI film starring humans without the Humans looking awkwardly realistic. DId anyone see Everyon'e hero? The hum,an designs llook like they...

    Favorite 80's Cartoons!!!

I have a big list... Inspectopr Gadget, Heathcliff, Super Mario Super show... stuff like that, It's so depressing DIC makes such HORRIBLE shows now. They used to have great stuff into the early 90's... and it all fell flat. I love Ducktales and Rescue Rangers.... and Garfield and friends...
