Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

That's the problem... it ISN'T an anniversary special, and it wasn't really intended as one. Other than the obvious bit about the number 40, nothing really seemed to say "anniversary special" We didn't even have Oscar say anything. And there were like, 5 other regular muppet characters in the...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

Cough cough... he says "This is kinda kicky." an old catchphrase of Bert's. It sounds pretty distorted, since he says it much quieter than the music. Sounds an awful lot like the multiple Elmo toys gone wrong reports to me. Anyway, Kermit and all, anyone else love the Camp Wannagohoma bit...

    Season 40 Character Questions

Oh yeah... him: He was played by Lin-Manuel Miranda according to the wiki (I have no idea who that is, myself). Basically he just wore a greenish business suit and kept flashing his card over and over. And his name is Freddy Flapman, not Flapper.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

In response to that and what Phillip said, I'm sure that there was a lot of haggling on the part of SW and Disney. It could very well just be a special occurrence, or it could very well just be a sign of negotiations to come. I don't expect anything major. But consider that Disney has been...

What Does Sesame Street Mean to You? - A Muppet Mindset Article Question

Here's something for your article... Sure, we can say all we want about about how funny Ernie and Bert are, how much we love Pinball Number Count and hate Elmo, but that's not what Sesame Street means to me at all. There has never been a greater cultural phenomenon as big as Sesame Street...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

Seems like they either waited for this year, or they had some sort of rights hold up with Kermit. Seems that if it is indeed a new, exclusive cameo, they paid a pretty penny for it.

    Season 40 Hidden Gems

I don't know if it counts or not, but they had the Poco Loco parrot puppet in the Rain forest bit. But I'm assuming it's considered just a standard parrot puppet.

    Season 40 Character Questions

There really wasn't much that you have missed. The only new puppet I've seen was a pelican. Don't know if they ever used it before, but it looks pretty realisti, except for the standard large Muppet eyes... no Eye lids... sort of like Elmo's. There was an E-mail in Elmo's World with 3 kids...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

Lemme just say this... no WONDER why it took them so long to run Elmo's World: Frogs. No Wonder. That was just amazing. A New segment with a brief cameo by a certain Mr. Kermit the Frog! I was expecting a short brief silent clip of him in the opening montage at best... at best! Not only that...

    Happy birthday, Sesame Street

I was gonna start a (general cartoon and kid's nostalgic entertainment) blog a while back and post this, but *I never got the time, and I never looked at the schematics and everything, so I'll just post it here. 40 years. That's almost half a life span of a human being. An amazing...

    Zemekis/Disney- Christmas Carol Movie

It still got the number one slot in the country. And it is only the first week of November when it came out. Stores may have been ready for Christmas since before Halloween, clearing stuff out of their stores before Halloween in some cases, but I don't think the movie going public wants to see...

    Muppet Film and TV References

It was definitely Seth. He usually performs Kermit for Family Guy, even doing an impromptu reference of the Great Muppet Caper's credit sequence in the commentary for the Stewie Griffin Untold Story DVD. Honestly, he wasn't half that bad as a puppeteer. :D

    SST Ghetto/Bling-Bling Shirts

oh, you mean like This Bert, this Cookie, and This Count oh, and this completely illfitting Oscar... The Bert one at least looks cool from an Ironic persepctive... and the Cookie Monster one would work better if it said "What more can Me Say?" (certainly not the first time he wore gold chains)...

    Article in today's Mpls paper

Apparently the Boston Globe had one too. I saw a preview on the Saturday edition... had a picture of Rosita on the top, above the Paper's name.

Elmo, Abby, Zoe and Gordon on Good Morning America

I don't have a clip if anyone missed it, but like I said, all of them were on for a brief segment I just caught as soon as I woke up. Gordon slipped up and used the word puppets, leaving the characters to scramble to correct him. Never mind... I found the clip right...

Your Thoughts: Oscar on "The Bonnie Hunt Show"

I just saw it... it was a very cute little bit. Wish it were longer, though. But he managed to get in the same Overhead bin joke that Big Bird used on late night. The meet and greet with the little kids was also pretty adorable.

Episodes that Have Stuck with You

That one I definitely remembered in the back of my mind. Not so much the toaster, but the fact he got a not quite foot long hot dog and then a Slightly over foot long hot dog, and kept complaining it wasn't exactly 1 foot. A definite precursor to Mr. Monk, no doubt. :D I probably have...

Who's going to see Disney's the Princess and the Frog

Well, here's the deal with Atlantis... Apparently it has so many striking similarities to a Japanese movie called Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, and it came under so much fire for that one. Even after the producers and everyone else who worked on that movie denied ever hearing of it. Of...
