Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

    A) Anyone else see the movie Bowfinger? You know what I'm talking about... B) I dunno... took them 2 years to notice that Pox News bit.

    New Muppet Studios Logo

If they don't use these, then it would be a crying shame. These pics don't just scream Muppet, they Scream Jim Henson. And a lot better than the lame googly eyed purple thing, and the meh-looking "The Office" pastiche. I'd much rather see this at the end of any muppet projects than any of the...

If they were to make a new Muppet Babies....

I see your point, though I keep saying them Play-a-long videos they made in the 80's didn't help anything either... I wounder what it would look like in the format of a pretty good budget DTV movie or something. If it was animated, I'd hope they can get back as many of the original VA's as...

"Wembley's Egg Surprise" on DVD February 9

While I like the principle of MOD DVD's, I just don't like the whole fact that you have to order them online and you have to pay a fixed (no discount no competition) price. Otherwise, I woulda got some of those Nicktoons. But if they used that to get some of the rare Jim Henson Productions...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

Homunculus Zoe all through the street story. She really must not be a picnic to puppet either, as her movements seemed completely off compared to her normal sized counterpart. I wish they just used a regular sized Zoe in Abby in Wonderland... it wouldn't have been such a hassle. And frankly...

    Graphic Novels

The ones written by Dan Slott, maybe... but there was a LOT of junk they published once he left. I remember a LOT of bad art creeping in halfway through the run... sometimes they even used pictures cut from the style guide! But the Dan Slot/ Mike Kazaleha or Ken Mitchrony ones really captured...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Forever Special on 11/21/2009 on CWKids

About bleeding time! They were sitting on this long enough, trying to get a theatrical release, not being able to get it available on DVD (and thanks to the Nicktoon buyout crap, I doubt we'll see it any time soon). This is a fitting end to the amazing 2k3 Renaissance of the Turtles before...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

I still prefer the term "Homunculus Zoe"... after all, it means an underformed, miniature being. And that's what she looks like... a Zoe that didn't quite develop right. That's the problem with everything. Everyone is so impatient. And it's not like SS was ever this really really long...

    Season 40 Hidden Gems

Off Topic, but... Mr. Johnson may not really be all that frequent in recent seasons, but he does manage to pop up once in a while... i.e. Season 37 (?) in the Global Grover Russian Restaurant sketch. And of course, he's in that new iPhone app. Wanda, however... that's a character that is a...

If they were to make a new Muppet Babies....

I remember that rumored new series we heard about in 2003 was going to be just that, a CGI motion capture puppetry deal. but that was years and years ago. Funny thing is, I like Muppet babies a lot more, but I think that Sesame Beginnings managed to be a little more novel... and it used actual...

Where's the love for Rocky and Bullwinkle?

Ah, yes... the Peter Piech Filmtel packaging job that caused so much confusion, leading people to believe Jay was responsible for Underdog and Commander McBragg. The fact they used the same Mexican studio wasn't much help either... and now they're both owned (or at least co-owned) by Media...

    SST Double Entendres

One of these days I'll find it... one of these days I will. Someone's gotta help me on it... but back in 1998, Boston's WZLX classic rock station had a phone interview with Elmo on its morning show (can't remember if it was called the Big Matress then)... but there was this great exchange that...

    Any word?

I wonder if that other place went bankrupt on us. I see why they wanted to strategically hold the figures over and all, but they were off their gourds when they wanted to wait around for the movie...

    Lots of MUP3's, Wanna Trade?

Still looking for the Sesame Street end theme funky chimes. I plan on using it for something.

"Wembley's Egg Surprise" on DVD February 9

Considering I don't have any of the season sets yet (mainly because I was toying with just buying the complete series for awhile) I never put any stock into these single DVD best ofs... I mean, after January, we'll have everything including the cartoon. But seeing a preview from that long lost...

    New Muppet Studios Logo

Yeah, I wouldn't expect to see anyone outside of the main 5, Kermit, Piggy, Animal, Gonzo, and sometimes Fozzie... I'm surprised to see Pepe get representation, as well as Beaker (he passed the threshold from cult to mainstream cult... same way that Animal did). But this is just a lovely...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

I don't think it's a matter of replacement or anything like that so much as it's a matter of them wanting to get their money's worth off of a puppet they made to use once for a special... sort of like that random episode where Telly Monster was taking care of a baby duck, and he randomly turns...

"Grover Serves a Burger" - ahead of it's time?

...chicken rings. Glad there isn't one near me. That sounds all sorts of disgusting. Plus, Burger King has had those Mini-Burgers before, years and years ago... sometime in the 90's. I remember them well, since they used to be part of their kids meals for a couple months.
