    The Chipmunks

There are examples of movies where one actor basically carries the weight of the whole picture while all the other actors phone it in for a check. Chipmunks was such a film. As stated, Jason Lee didn't care much for it, so much they had to come up with a lame Marty Sue character to fill the...

The "Next Muppet on Family Guy" thread

How can it be a double standard when I didn't say any MEN were man hos? I mean, Bullock... he's the biggest man ho around. He's probably had a million times the partners Haylee had. And Roger... I'm not going to even talk about Roger... wow... On the FG Quagmire's a walking disease...

    Mars Needs Moms

I will say this. MNM shows that Disney's gotten much craftier and much more strategic in releasing movies. You see, there were two movies Disney clearly knew were going to be unsuccessful and released as contractual obligations (these are facts). The other was one I'm not going to mention...

Redesigned Muppets for "The Muppets" movie

They've been flip flopping on exactly how to build Fozzie in the last few productions He had the over bite in VMX, then he lost it after that project, only to get the overbite again now. I prefer how he looked (as far as modern era productions go) in MTI... but I have a feeling next rebuild...

What IS the point of Junior Novelizations?

That's the only way they sucker kids into actually buying them. I did, you did, everyone did. Actually... I had a junior novelization collection of episodes of The Tick... they kept half the funny dialogue in... but they also changed the Chairface Chippendale episode to be more like the...

    Mars Needs Moms

My fault for going to the first one... but hey, they GOT to have more talent than the hacks that stole the Garfield movie script and just replaced all references to Garfield and lasagne with Yogi and Pic-a-nic baskets. I'm not going to bother, anyway, but hopefully they can kill the bad...

Redesigned Muppets for "The Muppets" movie

I really need to rewatch the trailers closely... but other than Gonzo (which was improved since the last redesign) the only thing I don't dig is weird Overbite Fozzie. On the plus side, the poster's seen the best poser Kermit in years.

    7th Muppet Movie

Some people have been on the fence with the movie until they saw the trailer... any doubt I had was erased long ago when Jason bemoaned recent Muppet Movies like "Muppets Underwater" (did everyone get hit with the Men in Black Neutralizer but him? I don't recall that one :) ) all the way back...

    Mars Needs Moms

Yeah... they felt his voice was too old sounding, so they redubbed his lines. I try very hard to reserve judgement, and I find out half the stuff I give a chance and try to like I do... the other half proves me right, and makes me HATE the fact I gave it a chance. I didn't think I'd care for...

You're reserving judgement on a film he was erased from. :)

    The Smurf's Triumphant return!

Fat Albert was an important show. Not only in terms of what it was, but what it's done. And The fact that it came out of the stinkiest cesspool in animation history, the 1970's (prove me wrong. Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan... there! I won the argument) was amazing. The show talked about...

The "Next Muppet on Family Guy" thread

Which basically says "I don't watch the show, so i don't know what this guy's talking about." She is. She boinked Stan Smith's boss once...they hinted at her boinking a CIA agent who was a human brain in a koala's body... and basically she talks all high and mighty and blasts her Dad's...

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

I'm glad I waited, but.... I should have stayed completely off this site for the past 2 weeks. The trailer only caught me off guard for 10 seconds before I saw Amy Adams. I was like... "Oh great, kiddy book film. Why do they... Oh, there's Amy Adams! I know what's coming YAAAAYYYY!"...

    The Smurf's Triumphant return!

Well, I think Bill was great when he was young and energetic, like in I Spy, rather than the cranky old man who has to turn everything into a soap box about how unfocused kids are. Still, I wonder what the heck was wrong with the script Forrest Whittaker did, and I also wonder why they didn't...

What IS the point of Junior Novelizations?

I do NOT need to watch that as I already read it. I had it (more on that later) For those of you who never read it it's basically "Mega Man goes into a world with a Robot Master.... Mega Man meets Robot Master... Robot Master says some cliche bad guy thing... mega Man give a cliche...

    The Chipmunks

You can tell that in his performance. But then again, why not just... I dunno.. recast him? I still think Bob Sagat was BORN to play that part, likewise, he would have made a BETTER Ranger Smith...Don't tell me I'm the only one That sees it... but I guess he was too busy with his revamping his...

What IS the point of Junior Novelizations?

Yes, but that's what continuations are for, IMO... using the characters to tell other stories... Star Wars and Star Trek actually used the books to help continue the series/movies and add things at different angles. They're sometimes a better way of making a sequel THAN the sequels of the...

What IS the point of Junior Novelizations?

Wanna know what's worse? Junior novelizations based on movies based on kid's picture books! Holy Literary Paradox, Batman!

What IS the point of Junior Novelizations?

You double dipped, didn't you? You read a novelization based on a movie based on a novel. Yikes! I had the Batman TAS movie Mask of the Phantasm novel, and I think i only got it because I was ticked that I didn't get to see it... no. Now I remember, I bought it and planned to read it AFTER...

    Worst... Elmo product...EVER

I really don't see the point of this one. the plush casing is ugly and misshapen (they could have just used his head), and the story seems pointless (Elmo visiting Baby bear for no reason)... and overall, even though he's not the most popular character, dome shaped books would work a LOT...
