    Overrated Movies

Yeah, but they just came out on DVD and Cars usually is a big seller. I think they may have over ordered the stuff. Plus K-Mart has a tendency to hold onto things forever. But The Salvation toys... I saw them go to Target to Marshall to Five Below to A.J Wright (before it closed down) to...

    Overrated Movies

HEH! I know there are successful movies that have some merchandise that tends to lie around and not sell... but that's ridiculous, right there. I've seen Terminator Salvation toys sit on shelves for the past few years, they keep getting deep discount clearances, then they go to clearance...

Is the Jim Henson Company involved at all in the new movie?

Other than the fact the movies and most of the TV show are on DVD (Target has kinda a small display for all of them), there isn't any real way to get that kind of exposure... but then again, I always see parents either buying them or talking about how they watch their kids with the old stuff...

    Overrated Movies

The Help... And I DO NOT want to rationalize why... though, to quote an indie newspaper review I barely remember the details of, when they do these movies about race inequality, why do they go after the socialites they had to work for and not after the REAL bad guys that MAKE them have to take...

    Disney Store Muppet Merchandise Released

I wasn't expecting much. Even the movie specific merchandise for Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 didn't hit until around the time of and after the movie. Yet, they could have easily had Kermit and Animal on store shelves anyway. Still, the only ball I see being dropped is rereleasing the movies and...

    Talk about nitpicky!

How is that different from companies in other countries taking it upon themselves to change something about the character's name to give it the illusion that they created it? There's something to be said about brand conformity and uniformity going against some country changing the name...

    Talk about nitpicky!

Like how Princess Toadstool is called "Peach?" Well, like a mature rational adult, I'd say... "Huh?" say, these things happen, and not be bothered by it. Every video game company retconned their characters to have their original Japanese names in the past 10 or so years, and no one really...

    Talk about nitpicky!

Really... you know how we have people complaining about Kermit living in a mansion and Fozzie's Fart Shoes? Well, seems Latin America has us all beat in the game of supreme silliness... In an effort to rebrand the Muppets with an international consistency, Mexican Kermit the Frog changes his...

Playskool's Sesame Street Line is available now

Just as the license was set to expire, they DID make huge improvements. I liked seeing Snuffy and The Count actually get some toys in, and the Count 40th Anniversary Plush was the highest quality Count Plush I've ever seen (they had a LOT of stinkers in that field.. trust me... Gund also came...

Dreamworks to make Captain Underpants movie

They rarely are... even if they do, they rarely come out the same. Though, it took Kung Fu Panda and How to Train your Dragon to get the writer of the original books to okay the idea... Somehow, I just don't see the characters translating to 3-D CGI all that well... maybe they could try a hybrid...

    Disney Store Muppet Merchandise Released

I don't think I've ever seen or heard of them... I checked the Wiki, though. There's a Spa'am and some tourist rats too. Bet this costs a fortune on E-bay. There's apparently a British Burger King premium that has a Long John Silver with a Polly on his shoulders, but there's no picture of that.

    Alamo Muppet Promo

I thought he was trying to get a slice of baloney he was choking on out of his throat!

    First Elmo original sketch!

Just so you don't have to click on that link... I wish they officially named that other puppet... I never liked calling him Kermit the Forg. He HAS to have an official unofficial name.

    Bringing you the Truth...

I hate how they define corporations paying their share of taxes, especially ones that got us into this situation due to their gluttonous, hedonistic practices, How is the government giving money, hand outs, welfare and all these things that if they gave to the poor would be considered...

    Disney Store Muppet Merchandise Released

OOOH! One of the rare times we actually get movie specific characters! And around the release of a movie too! It took us 10 years to get Ghost of Christmas Past as a figurine from Palisades... and the only pirate we got was a pack in Polly Lobster. And the only time we saw Phil, Gil, and...

Singing Christmas Kermit & Piggy at Walgreen's

It is indeed a different company, but the same license. If Disney wants to strive for perfection (or close enough to it), I don't see why they don't expect the same from other companies they give the license out to. I blame the iffyness on the products in question on that weird company, but...

Singing Christmas Kermit & Piggy at Walgreen's

That's what I've been saying.... If Disney can give us an Animal plush that looks like this: They could have done a lot better with these.

    Bringing you the Truth...

Third parties pop up over night. None of them have organization, none of them have appeal to anyone but fringe groups that wouldn't vote mainstream or people who actually think voting for them makes a real difference. And besides the point, how can we be sure they're incorruptible? Meanwhile...

New D23 event showcasing Muppet merchandise

To clarify... this looks like it's a special event for a line of clothing and it appears (unless I read it wrong) to be theme park exclusives. Hopefully there will be other Muppet things popping up from now until the movie, but it doesn't sound like anything that will be announced there.

    Bringing you the Truth...

No, there's one not to vote for or one you're going to have suck it up and vote for out of fear for the other. Unless everyone votes 3rd party... but the chances of someone coming up with a coherent middle ground moderate party that has something both sides can agree to are incredibly slim...
