What the "Stop Online Piracy Act" could mean for us USA folks...?

Past instances just don't fill me with confidence. Best case scenario it turns into the cable conglomerate backed Anti-Net Neutrality legislation, and just sits there and doesn't move forward forever.

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

I don't agree on the basis that everything would then be a remake for being remade from the original book source as well. Remaking a film is one thing, but adapting a book will invariably lead to different interpretations. The Grinch movie was a remake of the cartoon, as it included elements...

What the "Stop Online Piracy Act" could mean for us USA folks...?

And that's going to do a world of difference. Seriously. If any bill out there proves that the law of the land is bought by lobbyists, it's SOPA. Too bad these internet companies like Wikia and Google can't pool their resources and buy lobbyists to combat it. That's the only way it would stall...

    The Muppets 2011 DVD details

Sometimes it's about availability. I LOVE how on the UHF commentary Weird Al actually calls someone (I wanna say Michael Richards) and he does the commentary from a phone. A character/Muppeteer commentary track would have been great, but I don't know if they didn't plan on one in the first...

    Gonzo Plush 2011

The only problem I see with the Gonzo plush is the eyes. It's disappointing they could mess up something as fundamental as the eyes. I think the Fozzie plush suffers the worst from this, as the eyes vary from plush to plush (and the nose is too distant from them). But other than a strange...

Since when does Family Communications Incorporated own the rights to Sesame Street?

I get where he's coming from, though. There are just so many insane copyrights that pull down entire accounts to make an example of, and it rarely even comes down to full ownership anymore. It's more like second or third party complaints based on an old DVD release or CD soundtrack. That...

Guess it's about time: From the REAL Greg Berg

Ah... well, I'm gonna guess they recorded him separately without telling any of the other actors. Another small question. I noticed in the episode of Muppet Babies where they're all operatic super heroes, when Baby Fozzie was one of the Ninja Turtles, he was referred to as Fozzatello. Was...

    The Muppets 2011 DVD details

That puts me at ease. Hopefully it will be on both. Just to be safe, I'm probably going to try for the Wocka Wocka pack. At least then I can find someone who has a Blu-Ray and watch the deleted bits there.

    New Muppet Valentines

That's what Valentines/Calendars/greeting cards usually are... the same stock pictures over and over. Especially for the Muppets. We really need new poser photos.

Your Fave And Least Fave Movies Of 2011?

I don't know if I should count this, since I saw it yesterday (finally), but it was released last year... it's DTV but I'm counting it anyway.. Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension... Disney usually manages to do a good job when they make movies based on currently running cartoons...

What's in store for the Muppets in 2012 article

It's literally the BEST thing Steven Spielberg did in years. Almost 1980's Spielberg quality. If only Indiana Jones 4 were more like it.

    The Muppets 2011 DVD details

Auto commentary is GENEROUS compared to the crap I've seen. If a DVD has NO special features it shouldn't retail for more than 10 bucks. No excuses. Errr... Dreamworks films almost force you to buy the 2 DVD pack for a less than half an hour extra cartoon episode. I got the standard...

    The Muppets 2011 DVD details

Like I said... I love hoe they have all these no frills DVD's that cost JUST as much as loaded with feature DVD's from less than 5 years ago that don't sell, just so the studios can cry about how they don't sell, blame pirates and the economy, and wonder why they don't sell. I hope this isn't...

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

Actually, I'd only call The Grinch a remake, since it actually uses a secondary source for material (the Chuck Jones cartoon's music, as well as some other themes). The others are based specifically off the book, and technically not a remake... no more so than a Dracula film based on the book...

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

The Grinch is only good if you actually like Jim Carrey. I admit, I kinda like the concept of the Grinch wanting to steal Christmas out of anger of a hypocritical society that doesn't appreciate what Christmas is all about. I kinda liked Jim Carrey back then and thus found the film alright. I...

    The Muppets 2011 DVD details

These better be on the REGULAR DVD and not the premium Blu-Ray fadget version. And they better the HECK put them Deleted scenes back in there. They have access to them. Even if those only get released to Blu-Ray, at least we'd have them. Pretty disappointing.

Guess it's about time: From the REAL Greg Berg

Everyone else was the same. I found the back of the book that had the credits listed... Everyone but Animal was the same... this was "Where's the Bear?" Maybe they recorded his part separately or something.

Bad Guys/Villains we didn't root for

Retrospectively, I kinda like the allegory of the fact that offensive Chinese stereotype characters are trying to disrupt trade in their favor... I'm just saying...

Little Shop of Horrors: The Intended Cut

I hate that EVERYTHING has to be premium for Blu-Ray, and DVD's (with no price decrease) are thrown out like slop for pigs, with the movie studios say "be grateful you pathetic swine!" But this is great. I remember that one of the original DVD's of Little Shop actually had the ending as a...
