The reason why pop-culture references are not good foundation for jokes is because they can become horribly outdated. (e.g. Miss Piggy's Napster line at the beginning of the movie) That's one of the things that made MWoZ near-unwatchable,
The Spike Milligan episode, you could tell that everyone was having a blast doing it. The "around-the-world" theme also created some funny moments (Spike and Sam having that American/British arguement).
I stopped taking most review websites seriously after I saw some very unprofessional and biased ones (GameInformer). I thought NC's reviews weren't meant to be taking seriously, too.
What was the point of the Talking Houses sketches in the first season of TMS? It was just like one building joke per episode. The houses never even appeared anywhere outside those sketches!
Muppets Wizard of Oz, hands down. It's nearly impossible to get through the movie without making a snarky comment or complaining. It's attempts to be "hip" makes the movie just plain outdated nowadays. Also, Pepe got way to much screen time.
The song "Dashboard" by Modest Mouse always reminds me of The Electric Mayhem for some reason. Probably because I thought Floyd would be able to sing it well.
You ever notice how most gamers tend to complain about videogames and overanalyze them instead of actually playing them? The game developers probably don't mind because they buy their games anyway so they can look for things to criticize.
This might be a strange choice, but...my favorite Sesame Street Muppet is Roosevelt Franklin. (My second favorite SST Muppet would probably be Ernie)

Benson's character varies with every episode. Sometimes you feel bad for him (like in "Think Positive"), and sometimes he feels overly angry or kinda annoying ("Muscle Mentor").
I think my sig is pretty self-explanatory, I'm a fan of Sonic (but not one of the "green-eyes-ruined-Sonic-forever" fans). And I also like Filbert's legendary saying.
