I don't really get the whole alphabet theme they have going. If this were sesame street it would make snese but no so much with fraggle rock. There are only 2 reasons I can think of that they would do that. 1. They heard kids show and figured kids show equals learning the alphabet or 2. it's...
I think you may be onto something. It may be that this is more of a late 70's to 80's looking Gonzo and by then he was ditching the suit. Personally I think he would look best in a sweater vest. But, I think they HAD to go with the suit. If for no other reason than it would be impossible to...
I think Kermit ends up all smooshed because so many people handle him. The others don't get messed up as much but they still get crunched up a lot. The photo shoots, however, have no reason to be messed up. I mean, if you are selling photo poser replicas you would think you'd make sure to...
I just hope they open eventually, unlike many sections of the old site, but from the looks of it there is a good chance of that seeing as there is already more content on here.
From what I hear the replica is actually smaller than the puppet so if you tried it you'd get a tiny Kermit. Seems the poser was smaller than the hand puppet.
The new Piggy clip with Piggy in her face mask talking to herself was classic. Reminded me of her crying scene in GMC. I must say I don't think I could be happier with the site. New fun short clips, which is what the net is all about.
Thats probably to prevent creeps from misusing the site.
I haven't read the whole thread, but did anyone else see Rubber Ducky in the bottom right hand corner?
I must admit that your photoshop eye placement change and fur trim made me think twice about not getting a Gonzo. I really don't get why MR doesn't crack down on eye position with these things. I'd rather they get rid of the white plastic lid things and have the eyes in the right spot than...
Like i said, just because they went back to the drawing board doesn't mean they wouldn't draw something worse, or in this case the same.
Is it me or does the nose in the MR pics look like the flocked one Travis mentioned?
Anyway, I really would have liked to buy Gonzo but too many issues...
Ok, after looking at the pics here it seems eye spacing is an issue AGAIN! These eye lid things are screwing up the likeness because *** forces MR to space the eyes too far apart. No one can tell me that Gonzo has that much space between his eyes.
Cause the redesigned the puppet and finally gave him back all the hair he started with in the 70's. He's gradually been losing hair, starting on his chin and then moving up to his head. I guess the new builders took notice and gave us a retro Animal.
So Steve took over the Newsman? Is Brian...
Well the issues with Animal were corrected by most people by trimming hair, using marker on the eye lids, and in some cases replacing the tongue. The issues with Gonzo are not something that can be easily fixed with a pair of scissors and a marker.
To me the mouth error is so obvious and error and so easy to fix that it's just inexcusable. If thumb articulation was restricted that's a non-issue, but the mouth? Huge issue, I think. There is so much expression in the mouth of a puppet that having that restricted really throws off the...
