Woah...that's certainly an improvement. The odd thing is that the white eye covers make his eyes look closer together when they are wide open. Seems that is why they didn't put them closer together.
Dang, now with these pics I want him again....
I think the time and effort went into making the episodes whole thins time around. I mean, think about how much time andm oney itm ust take to do an extra like muppet morsels. Maybe the money spent on song rights and stuff took up too much of the budget.
I've yet to axctually look at the...
I don't see how you can think it is close. I'm sorry, I just don't. The eyes are just plan off. I mean this isn't something like the shape of Fozzie's head that has changed over the years. The eyes have always been right up next to each other, at the very least they were like that from the...
Looks to me like there are no shackles on him at all. I know that sometimes Animal went without, but really it would have been nice to have them. So many things about the final product just bug me.
I saw the clip and they aren't far apart. Like I said they seem far apart, but the gap is the nose. Look again, or better yet check the dvd. Maybe I'll pop it in and get a screen cap. But even if the first Animal has a large gap, I don't think that one clip is the proper reference to use...
So there is mouth articulation, but the tongue gets in the way? I guess that is why it should be made of some kind of foam. No idea why they went with rubber. They could have gone with high density foam instead. I'm not getting some of the decisions made on this one and I really hope they...
Thats due more to the angle of the picture than the actual space though. And they are still much closer together than the replica. I get that they have to keep things under budget, but for 50 bucks more and the addition of jaw movement and better eyes I'd be all over this. Frankly Animal just...
I've looked across the board, none have a gap as wide as the MR animal. Not even close. Animal is just not as good a likeness and whats sad is that it could have easily been fixed.
WHAT? His mouth does not close? Are you joking? The mouth is key to making the many animal expressions. Now i know I don;'t want him, Certainly not at 400. The mouth is a main point of expressions on any character.
Animals eyes are right next to each other in that video. Sometimes it appears as if there is a space, but that is his nose. When he looks down the eyes are clearly right next too each other with very little space. Look at any picture of animal from any ear and I bet the eyes will be right...
Yeah, cutting may not be needed for Animal, maybe just some fluffing and combing. Though I think Jamie would probably be good at trimming Animals hair. He's a genius.
Exactly. Like some of the official pictures have wrinkled faces that give Kermit a beak look. He needs careful posing. Mine looks fairly nice, though some people pose him perfectly. I hope to get Animal cause it looks like he'd be real fun to display.
Yeah they needed people to pose the posers. The official Kermit photos don't make Kermit look nearly as good as he is. Usually it's the other way around. So I am hoping that these will look better when people get them home and pose them and take new pics.
Oh man, looking at the photoshopped version makes me wish they'd make the suit darker. As for why they'd do it, shady business. All they need to do is put up a disclaimer saying color may vary and they can get people to buy it based on an edited pic.
First Mate Piggy is a good example. Certainly a nice figure, but not exactly accurate. Gonzo was indeed great, but to me he doesn't look like any one Gonzo, which I guess is good. I dunno. I guess what I want is a replica of what I think the characters should look like, which obviously can't...
Oh no, I hate when they do a mix of various looks. Palsiades did that with some of the figures and it just didn't work for me. But so far MR has done well so who knows.
As for the muppets getting redone, I think the Piggy that has been used lately is rahter good. The one on Craig Furgason...
Good point about the jacket and sneakers. Though Gonzo has a full suit and shoes and Animal is clothes so maybe it won't be too much more than them. As for hom moving thousands of units, I dunno. Certainly possible if they think Rizzo can. I mean I love Rizzo as a character, but Scooter is...
