One way to ensure all that is for The Muppets Studio to start hosting workshops and auditions for new and extra puppeteers like what Sesame Workshop does and start training understudies to facilitate more minor appearances. Taking the same “one official performer and one official understudy”...

I disagree. They can bring him back anyway. Besides, I've heard that the majority of Steve's characters (Statler, Rizzo, Beaker, Link, Lips, Newsman, etc.) are being taken over by Peter Linz. And whenever they decide to bring back Bean, I bet they'd give him to Linz as well.

That's what I feel too. That Steve and his behavior were preventing The Muppets Studio from cranking out more product.

Yesterday, it was announced at the D23 Expo that The Great Movie Ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be replaced by a new attraction based on these shorts called Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway...
