    Fisher Price Sesame Street

I still have my Cookie Monster from that playset, and a few years ago I won a bunch of the figures on ebay for my daughter. I know that Roosevelt Franklin was one of them, but I forget the others. And the nurse at her school has the playset in her office, but I don't know if it still has any of...

    Ages

When Caroll Spinney appeared at BAM last year, I believe he said that Oscar was 43. Actually, Oscar might have said that himself. There's an episode of Sesame Street I'd watched recently where Ernie explains to Bert that he has to go through preschool and all the other grades before he can go to...

    Marvin Suggs....whats up with him?

Marvin was probably inspired by a sketch on "Monty Python's Flying Circus" where (I believe) Terry Jones starts pounding on some mice to get them to squeak in different keys. This is very brief, as Jones's character is almost immediately boo'd and chased offstage by an angry mob. In any...

    Drawn Together

Yes, I caught it at 2:30 in the morning! It was pretty freaky the way their mouths looked when they were imitating the Sesame Street Martians.

Segments that were cut on video

"Telephone Rock" was originally longer at the end as well, and I believe "Count it Higher" was longer on an episode of SS than on any home video release. I think it's a matter of only a few seconds longer on each song.

    An Animated Sesame Street series

There was at least one SS moment with Rowlf, where he counted 9 lightbulbs around his head and turned to look at each one of them. I think there was at least one other appearance, but I can't remember it. As for an animated SS, if it could be the same quality as the segments in "Follow That...

In need of Oscar Insults!! HELP!

I don't remember who he was talking to/about, but Oscar once said "This guy's alphabet doesn't go all the way to Z," meaning that he didn't think the person was very bright.

    RIP Don Adams

"Get Smart" and "Green Acres" are my two favorite sitcoms from the 1960s.

Whos goin to the NYC audition besides me?!?

I didn't, and when someone asked Kevin if she could use her own puppet, he basically said no, that we were all supposed to audition with the ping pong ball eyes. So, I'm glad I left Zook and Max here at home, although it was cool to see other people's original puppets. At least one guy brought...

Only as far as the lip-syncing!

    Nobody's Posted From NY Yet

Thanks, but it was only the first part of the audition. Everybody got a chance to do the lip-sync. :p

    Nobody's Posted From NY Yet

They gave us ping pong ball eyes which we strapped around our middle and ring fingers. Unfortunately, I didn't get to talk to Kevin and Jane.

I'd say at least 10-20 people.

    Nobody's Posted From NY Yet

I was #52, but didn't make the cut. I got as far as lip-syncing to "The Candy Man". I thought I was doing well, but apparently not. Still, it was pretty cool to see Kevin Clash and Jane Henson there.
