I didn't think the fur was too bad to do on my first Fozzie - starting with a fawn fabric and dying it to make it darker and with the orange tint - Eyes on the other hand...just couldn't get them right at all. He looked either angry or stary.

In between orders, I managed to put together a new little guy for sale on eBay.
He is a little bit frog, a little bit fraggle, a little bit furry...so that makes him a ...er... froggly? Maybe not.

The fur is shag fur bought from BigFabricz (i think that was the one) but when it came it straight and caramel coloured. I boiled it for about ten minutes and added some sunshine yellow dye to it. I know a lot of the time dyes don't work well on furs unless you buy something specialist, but...

Well, a few people asked what the next replica would be from Old Enough To Know Better puppets and despite a couple of custom orders I found time to crack on with the one and only Fozzie Bear. Still a couple of pieces to work on at the front so for now to whet the appetite here is a quick shot...
Great puppets Chris and congrats on making it to a year. I think if you've managed to get some TV work within a year of serious building then you're obviously doing something right :)
It is similar, as in you can hide the seams easier than with normal anti-pill fleece, but it's can go fluffier around the seams than antron if you pick it too much. It has got a different feel - the only way i can describe it is like the difference between cotton socks and nylon tights - but...
Lol, yes it was only after giving to the person i made this for that I realised the photos i had taken didn't have the scarf in. I think it was due to it being the last thing made for it.
