Re: Re: Who is the smartest muppet on Sesame Street?
lol
think about it....just look at the letter Y Cookie. He put it in a suitcase that "mysteriously" had not bottom and then said "me wonder how that happen" becuase he cut out the bottom, you can tell by the way he says it, lol. Or...
Who do you think is the smartest monster/puppet on Sesame Street?
I think without any doubt it has to be Cookie Monster. He has that silent genius that can't really be described.
What do you think???
it's not as if the muppets have exact ages, i think that they are meant to represent certain ages. which begs the question....if bert and ernie are as old as you've mentioned, then how about the count and mumford? is mumford the senior citizen of the muppet bunch? lol
the alligator king is cool, but the penny candy man is better. they showed the candy man on one episode this season but i don't remember which one. everytime i watch i check to see if the number of the day is 8 and then i sit and pray lol
fuzzy and blue is my favorite with herry and cookie.
love when cookie goes "yoo hoo" lol his mouth was so different than it is today just watching it move is funny in itself.
What a load of BS!!!!
Was checking out the pbs website to get info on Mr Rogers (R.I.P) and came across sesame street. so i was reading the explanations they put as to why each segment is supposed to be in the show. so i clicked on Monster clubhouse and this is what it said:
During Monster...
Here's my plan to quickly make sesame street better withough changing everything.
i noticed today how much time is wasted with stupid segments that show up in between the main parts. For example, after the main story is done, they usually go to a stupid segment with Big Bird asking stupid...
i remember alphaquest. they only show the s one nowadays. it's got a catchy song though..lol
was it the same girl for each letter cuz i dont remember?
now if you excuse me...
I have to A-B-C Decide
what's the door I haven't tried
A-B-C-D- East to West
Going on an alphaquessssst...
i try to look at this in a non bias way.
i can hardly say that i grew up on classic ss. but growing up in the 80's, to me it's classic. there are just certain simple things that have been removed from SS that takes away from what SS is all about. i posted in another thread how there are...
don't forget all of his appearances on the letter of the day skits....
and he was on takling about frustrated with ray romano
he was also the cookie delivery monster in the episode where cookie monster had no cookies....and he was in the episode for the opening of the mail it...
to me, classic sesame street is what i grew up on. a sesame street without an overuse of elmo. where cookie monster was used a lot more. where the count was a major character and bert and ernie sketches would be on every show. a sesame street where you couldn't wait for the guy smiley game...
i think sesame street is the rare kind of show that no matter how old the shows are or how old the characters are, the show will still have the same message. Part of it is nostalgia hunger, i'll admit it. but the older shows teach the basic knowledge better than it does now.
like on the...
i know...the new format sux.
i went out and bought the cookie monster best bites video. on the song "take that away from me" they had guy smiley and he sounded just like kermit and kermit sounds just like ernie. so whoever does ernie should be able to give us a respectable guy smiley...
As a young NY/Italaian guy I must totally disagree with you on this one. He sounded nothing like a NYer or an Italian. LOL
yea....just as long as they show something. they should show some older shows now cuz these repeats are getting to me a little.
and in honor of mr smiley i have...
i know what you're sayin drtooth. i saw his head in lots of places, but none that really had anything to do with a story like in the dog day on sesame street episode. i think even though he can be considered an anything muppet, he's different because he actually had his own skits and segments...
I was so mad. I stood home from school today and i turned on sesame street at 12. it was the episode where baby bear wanted to be a dog.
so this dog fairy pops up out of nowhere and it was guy smiley in disguise. i got so mad cuz they don't use him anymore or at least show his old game...
